Ahhhhhhhhhhhh yes! Can you believe it’s Mid Week Mojo time again? I have seriously LOVED seeing what you girls have all done with the sketches posted on our Facebook Fan page. Evey time I log online, it seems that there is another genuinely beautiful creation posted!
I know you are all excited to see who was the random winner of last weeks sketch. Thanks to Random.Org the winner of last weeks mojo challenge is the daughter of Elizabeth Martinez. I <3 that she joined in the sketch challenge and spent some time with her mom creating! I have to tell you, this girl has a bright future as a scrapper. Elizabeth, if you can send me an email to orders@scrapbooksteals.com, we will be happy to get your daughter sent out a little something to nurture her scrapbooking talents along! Her layout is fantastic! Under no circumstances will you be allowed to see one of *my* first pages. LOL!

For this weeks sketch at the last minute, I decided to actually dig into my stash so that we could keep with the “Christmas” theme of today’s steal. I’m truly not much of an event scrapper, so I have to admit that even 18 months later, I’m still pretty genuinely pleased with how this layout turned out. (And don’t tell my kids that they will likely not see another Christmas themed layout for years to come! Shhhhh! Our secret. Okay?!?!)
This sketch may be a bit of a challenge for some of you! It’s a 2 pager! Then there are those of you that are such 2 pager super stars that this should be a breeze for you to adapt!

My layout actually houses a total of 16 different photos. You can see where I adapted the sketch to fit smaller photos. I love printing my photos at home so that I can make them the exact size that I see in my brain! And seriously….if I’m only going to scrap Christmas once every decade, I’d better make it count!

I was so in love with today’s Christmas in July kit, that I couldn’t help myself and create a little something new for you to see! I positively LOVE how versatile the papers are in this kit. Not only can they be used to create awesome Christmas projects, cards and neighbor gifts……..

But also fantastic for creating an every day layout!

So there you have it! Can’t wait to see your Mid Week Mojo layouts popping up! Make sure they are posted to our Facebook Fan page, or to your blog by next Monday at midnight for a chance to win next weeks drawing! Also leave us a comment here with a link so we don’t miss out on your wonderful creations!
Happy Merry Mid Week Mojo Scrappin’!

If you are EVER stumped for a title for a layout, then today’s steal is PERFECT for you! This kit provides a ton of different title options to make your srapbook pages a snap!
When I was sifting through the plethora of titles to choose from I was caught up on the ’sweet puppy’. Now this is a little strange for me being as I don’t have a dog, don’t particularly love dogs and don’t have a single photo of one, yet….I still wanted to use this title. I had so much fun putting a quick shout out on my Facebook page for someone to send me a cute puppy photo! Wow. I had so many darling photos to choose from, but settled on this photo of Gizmo, as she belongs to one of our very own ScrapbookStealers, Natalie O. I figured if I was going to create a page, I may as well do it for someone that also has the love of scrapbooking! Natalie, thank you so much! I hope you like the page!

I think Natalie had to laugh (I hope), when I sent her another email after receiving the photo, begging for some journaling. I know, I know….I just can’t seem to do a page without! Her journaling was very sweet and complimented the photo to perfection!

I love how easily the Transfer Titles made this layout to finish off. You know how some rubons love their buddies? These ones applied like buttah! So if you are looking for a snappy way to make a ton of cute pages…these Transfer Titles are for you!

Oh my word girls…I am *so* over the moon excited about our weekly sketch challenge. In fact, I was a little crazy and went to bed at 12:30 this morning, and woke up at 2AM. No worries I did finally make it back to sleep at 4 and then up at 6. LOL! Anyhow, I laid there stewing and stewing while being kicked repeatedly by my boy that decided to climb into our bed, over what to call our weekly sketch challenge. Of course I was too lazy to get out of bed and see what awesome suggestions you girls have given, but then it hit me….it’s a MID WEEK MOJO boost! Not sure if the name will stick, but I kind of like it!
So………..are you ready, are you ready, are you ready? Huh? Huh? Huh? Sheesh! I sound like one of my kids getting all excited about something! Well, I AM excited! I absolutely ADORE seeing how you girls interpret the basic design sketches that I have made.
Today’s sketch is a one photo sketch.

I go through phases where I want to squeeze in a lot of photos onto one page, but I also adore blowing up my favorite photo from an event to really show what is going on. This sketch really creates a great showcase for the photo as well as provides a nice sized journaling block and option for a fun paper mix!

You can see in my version of the sketch where I substituted the circle spots for hearts. I also added an array of flowers and butterflies. Yeah…I’m not sure that really goes with the whole ’soopah stah’ theme, but I love the green grass in the background of the photo and really wanted to play that up with a natural feel.
Now let’s talk a little bit about those butterflies………………..oh wow. They were SO much fun to create. Now I’m not much of a stamper. I’ll wholeheartedly admit it. However, I really wanted to incorporate the cute butterfly stamps that are part of the Martha Stewart Embossing Kit that we are offering today. I popped open the kit, mounted the stamps onto the acrylic block and set to use the embossing ink pad that comes with the kit. I’m here to tell you, that ink pad positively ROCKS MY WORLD. I’m truly not just saying that either. In fact I had to call Melodee and squeal to her about it, as to how it provides the *perfect* amount of ink every time. Not too much. Not too little. In fact, I was a little worried when I stamped my paper as the image completely disappeared. With ink pads that I have used in the past it’s so ‘juicy’ that I can still see the image, and often times results in too much ink so the intricate, small details of a stamped image are lost in the embossing process. I went for it and added the embossing powder and at that moment, my friends, true love set in! <3 <3 <3 (awwwwww!)

I really liked cutting out the embossed images and adding some pop dots to the back of them, to add a little dimension to my project. I liked the feeling of not being tied as to where on the project the embossed images would go. Plus, like I said before, I’m a challenged stamper, and I would fear immensely messing something up if I were to heat emboss directly on the layout. This way if you do mess up, it’s simple….just make another one!

I hope that you girls have fun with this weeks sketch. Please share them with us on our Facebook Fan Page, or if you don’t Facebook, share us a link here in the comments.
All layouts that are shared online by Monday, July 26th at midnight will be qualified for a drawing for some free blog scrapbooking booty! I will share the random winner with our Mid Week Mojo next Wednesday!
Now get those kids napping so you can create.

Okay, tell me the truth…am I the only one that remembers that shampoo commercial whose slogan was ‘Don’t hate me because I have beautiful hair’? Or does this make me old? I mean let’s face it, I’m gettin’ up there, but I’m not as seasoned as Martha Stewart, the creator of today’s fantastic steal. I <3, adore, fancy and embrace 100% the border punches by Martha. The woman is seasoned not only in years, but in craftylicious goodness! In fact Martha’s punches are so phenomenal that I had to create something with each one of them that are our steal today!
The first layout that I created I grabbed the embossed zigzag punch.

Now I’m tellin’ ya. These punches work like buttah! Super smooth, crisp and clean cuts. Easy peasy to use! And I love the fact that the punches have a printed guideline so that you can precisely punch down the entire length of a 12×12 piece of paper!

I absolutely adore this photo that I took of my little trouble maker and thought the zig zag punch would make the perfect added touch for a photo mat. After all the crazy little dude keeps me zig zagging from one thing to the next…ALL DAY LONG!

Now for any of you that know me, you know that journaling is an essential part of any creation!

The next punch I used was the floral lace punch.

This punch screams sweetness. It screams, baby, girly, victorian, frilly, elegant and charming! I couldn’t resist using the punch to create a darling border for this baby card.

Now the final layout that I created using the arch lattice punch makes me absolutely giggle.

It’s just one of those stories in life that I had to preserve in a layout so that I would never forget it.

Just two days ago my cute 15 year old daughter was getting busy with my Xyron sticker maker….well….you know what? I’ll let you read the journaling. That’s why it’s there….right?

Don’t you have to agree that this border punch lends the perfect finishing touch to this graphically whimsical layout? Indeed!

Well there you have it! Martha. You’ve outdone yourself with the punches….you crafty little diva, you!
Don’t forget to stop by on Wednesday for our weekly sketch challenge!
Until then…as always…happy scrappin’!

I’m tellin’ ya girls. All I want to do right now is scrap. What an absolute TREAT it was sifting through the tons of layouts and cards that you all created for the challenges during our birthday week. I don’t think our Facebook Fan Photos have ever been filled with so much inspiration and talent! In fact, I have been so truly inspired by the interpretation of all of the sketches, that Melodee and I have decided that we will be having a weekly sketch challenge. Wednesdays will be our blog sketch day. Now to come up with a cute name for our Wednesday fun. Any suggestions?
I realize that you aren’t really reading all of this to find out about weekly sketch challenges. You girls are here to find out who won all of our fabulous birthday week prizes! And you know what? I can’t blame you there!
We announced the winners of our daily conversation topics during the live chat we had on Friday night, but I will do a little recap here for those of you that were unable to attend.
Monday / Where do you scrap? / My Minds Eye Kits (Winners all chosen by Random.Org)
1. Erin S. (Comment #3447) I scrap on my living room floor for now, hopefully when we buy a house I will have my own scrapping room!
2. Audrey (Comment #3510) This is probably why I don’t get to scrapbook so often, but I craft (all my crafts, bow making, scrapbooking and all) in my living room. I can’t wait until we can move into a bigger house and I will insist on having a craft room!
3. Nikki (Comment #3232) I scrap on my kitchen table, which is also my sewing table, the junk collector spot! lol When we buy a house, I am making sure it has a craft spot just for me!
Our scrapbook challenge on Monday was to create a layout featuring photos from this years 4th of July or Canada Day festivities. Random.org picked this darling layout by Staci Hawks Jones.

I positively adore the letters that she used for her title. I love the strips with stars clustered at the bottom. I also love that she created a two page layout and of course….the journaling. Great job Staci!
Tuesday / What is your favorite adhesive and why? / Purple Tool Tote:
Cris (Comment #3494) i mostly use my atg gun… its my fave! but im like everyone else, sometimes i use glue dots, mounting squares, glue stick, liquid adhesive, xyron x, it just all depends on what i am doing.
Our Tuesday scrapbook challenge was to create a layout using this sketch:

Random.Org picked Jana Paddington as the winner of this sketch challenge.

I’m not even sure where to start on what I love about this layout. The question is rather, what isn’t to love? I adore the photo, I adore the monochromatics of this layout with the title popped out in black! I love the flourishes, the journaling, the photo and the double ribbon. Simply fantastic Jana!
Wednesday / How often do you get to scrapbook / Echo Park Paper Collections
Amber (Comment 3534) Not very often since I had my new baby. I used to get together with the girls every other week.
Jennifer Feldkamp (Comment #3368) Wow! SO not enough! I used to SB at least once a month. Then about a year ago, I had a baby and moved to a new state a couple of months later. All my crafty stuff has been packed up ever since. I keep hoping for some time/space to get it all out again. Would love to win this for some inspiration!
Brittany Armstrong (Comment #3514) Not very often with 4 kids
nut I try to get something done whenever I can.
The scrapbook challenge for Wednesday was to create a layout using this sketch:

Heather Vernau Gray is the winner of this sketch challenge.

I love how Heather adapted the sketch to incorporate 4 photos rather than just two. I also love the papers that she chose to use on this layout.
Thursday / What do you love about ScrapbookSteals? / Corner Chomers (5)
Tricia V. (Comment #3632) I love scrapbooksteals each day to see what new product you have found. I love seeing the layouts that you do for each product. It makes it easier to see what is new out there before I hit the stores. I also love getting them for a steal.
Thanks for all the great product info.!!!!!!!!!!!!
Minousha Bari (Comment #3662) What’s there not to love!!!!! The excellent variety of products, super fast shipping and the deals!!!! Oh I know my all time favorite is the scrapbook steals ladies!!!! I think I would buy anything from you two!!!!!
Amber (Comment #3702) Fun finds, fabulous deals and amazing customer service – what’s not to love????!!!
Heidi Crawford (Comment #3517) I love being able to shop for great deals without having to go to the local scrapbook store. I have found many new treasures i could not live without and love. Thanks so much, I look forward to 10 am central time every morning on my phone to see what the steal of the day is.
Josee B. (Comment #3763) I love all the amazing product freatured at low price, since i’m farly new I don’t have much of a stock on hand so I get my inventory here for my scrapbooking addiction…. Happy birthday SS
and much more years to come…..
The scrapbook challenge for Thursday was this sketch:

The winner of this sketch challenge is Lisa Liddell Kelto.

I absolutely ADORE how Lisa used the sketch as merely a springboard for her layout. I love how she modified the idea to make the sketch work for her layout. And seriously….what is not to love about a sock fettish.
Melodee was awesome and issued our challenges for the crop. The first challenge was to create a layout with 12 elements.
Suzanne Bouchard was chosen by our favorite Random.Org with this layout:

I cannot even begin to express how much I love what she did with the ribbon on this page. I have never thought to twist ribbon like that and definitely have added it to my ‘must try list!’
The second challenge was to create a layout using 6 different patterned papers. I LOVE how Natalie Orozco created a patchwork quilt on her layout, incorporating the different patterns of papers onto the page.

The third challenge was to create a layout about something that you are thankful for. Heather Conkin is definitely like any mother out there and is thankful for naptime!

I love the papers that she chose to use and I love the journaling circle. But most of all I love the topic that she chose. Seriously. If it weren’t for nap times I would be crazy!
Our final challenge was to create a birthday card.

I love all of the texture that the card made by Amber Sheaves has. The layering is magnificent and the chalking is such a great added touch!
Melodee and I and the rest of the Steal Network would just like to thank you again so much for being such a huge part of our lives! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy lives to share your amazing talents with us.
For all of you winners, be sure to send us a quick email to orders@scrapbooksteals.com with your address and we will get your prizes sent out!
Until next time…happy scrappin’!

It’s hard to think this fantastic week has to end. We have had such a blast and are so grateful for all of you for your support. So today we get to end the celebration with a BANG! Our online crop tonight from 4 – 9 PM MST, will be so much fun. I will try not to rub it in too much that we get to gather at the warehouse to scrapbook as well, but I must say I am so excited for that. I am not entirely sure what we will get accomplished, but at least we get to eat cake! For all of you that can’t come to eat cake in person, I hope you are all eating cake in the privacy of your own home (don’t get crumbs in your computer!)
So we also get to have Dan from Fancy Pants Designs attend our crop. He is awesome and he will bring prizes. Everyone joining in the crop will be eligible to win, not just those of you who are coming to the warehouse. Dan is a blast and if I do say so myself, not bad to look at. (Don’t tell the hubby I said that)
Now on to the challenges…
Challenge #1
Since it is our anniversary and we have been ’stealing’ for 12 months now, here is your challenge. At least 12 elements on your page! This can include photos, titles, die cuts, flowers, ribbon – whatever. No fair trying to add a bunch of brads, buttons or jewels, those are too small and will not be counted!
Challenge #2
Time to celebrate our wonderful Kristy! She has worked with us for 6 months now. (and boy am I glad!) So to celebrate that, you must use 6 different pattern papers on your layout. Now these only need to be pieces of pattern papers mind you, not entire sheets. If you cut out a die cut with one and use another one to mat your photo, that will count as 2. But you MUST use 6 DIFFERENT patterns!
Challenge #3
We are thankful for you! I must say I love my job, but the part of it I am most thankful for is our wonderful fans. We LOVE you! So make a layout of something you are thankful for. Family, Flowers, Sunny Days, (scrapbooksteals) – whatever you are thankful for. Oops, I forgot to list Husbands. You can be thankful for them if you want…
Challenge #4
Birthday Cards! To celebrate our birthday we want to see you make a birthday card! Any size, any shape. I know some of you aren’t really card makers but oh how you will love it! I started my papercrafting by making cards and still love to. Something about actually finishing a project is pretty cool. No fair using the ones you may have made for Babysteals Birthday a few months ago. Best part about this one, you will have a card to give to someone you love that is all hand made!
As always post your projects on our Facebook Fan page or on your own blog with a link here to your blog. You have until midnight Monday Night to post your projects and we will randomly pick a winner for each challenge. Most of all, HAVE FUN!
“See” you tonight at the crop!

We are so loving this week long celebration! Today we are very excited about our give away. Echo Park Paper is a new Scrapbooking company that just burst onto the scene a few months ago. Their fun and happy designs just make me squeal with delight. Just for full disclosure’s sake, this new company was started by one of my favorite people, Madison Parker. I have known him for years and have worked with him at more than one company. He has done such a great job making sure Echo Park Paper’s designs are top notch. So go check them out here on their facebook fan page, like them, then come back here and answer our question of the day: How often do you get to scrapbook? You can win one of three kits of their new collection “Walk in the Park”

If I was to answer the question I would have to say NOT ENOUGH! Most of my scrapbooking comes because I do it for work, which I love. Or I end up just making mini albums for vacations or whatever. I am so far behind in actually scrapbooking for my kids’ albums. Remember you have until Friday at 5PM MST to enter all of our “daily question” contests! We will announce the winners of these during our online crop.
Check out today’s challenge sketch also. Remember you have until Monday July 12th, at Midnight MST to post your creations to be entered into the challenge contests.

Wow! What an amazing response we had to our topic of conversation yesterday. I must admit, my brain was a little fuzzy yesterday morning, and I forgot to mention that our ‘conversation’ random winners will be announced during our on-line crop on Friday night. So you have until 5PM, MST on Friday to add your 2 cents to all of the daily questions for your chance to win one of the daily fabulous prizes! Really. Does it get any better than that? A week long of giveaways? Yeah. I didn’t think so either!
Well, let’s not delay any further then!
How about a little question to get your minds whirling. This is sort of a sticky subject, but we are going to ask it anyway!
What is your favorite adhesive and why?
Me? Want to know the truth? It’s whatever I can reach! LOL! If I have to go out and purchase adhesive however, I find myself time and time again reaching for the ‘Scrapbook Adhesives, Click ‘n Stick’ mounting squares by 3L in the disposable dispenser box. I prefer the clear ones because then if there is a little edge poking out from beneath my project you can’t tell. However, for ’stick’ purposes, the We R Memory Keepers Tab Dispensers are my favorite. I guess I tend to be a bit of a lazy gal though, and don’t always want to be bothered with having to refill a dispenser. Cause let’s face it…when you gotta stick, you gotta stick!

Share your thoughts with us by 5PM MST on Friday the 9th of July, and you will be entered into a drawing to win this fantastic tool tote!

Okay, so you didn’t have enough scrapping with yesterday’s challenge? Well then…..SKETCH THIS! I admit it. I HAVE to sketch. I can’t just sit down with paper and my trimmer and create. I have to have a plan in place, or let’s face it….one layout will easily take me, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, 4 hours. Yeah. I’m not kidding either. Sad isn’t it?
I don’t know if you ever need that plan put in place, but I have done the hard work for you and here is the blueprint! Use this sketch to create a layout about whatever strikes your fancy!

I admit I’m a bit of a flower addict, so if you don’t want a flower where it’s shown, simply adapt it to another embellishment of your choice!
Share your layout on our Facebook Fan page, and leave a comment here on today’s post, or share your layout on your blog with a link here on today’s post, and we will put you in a drawing for some scrappy goodness! Remember the layouts need to be posted by Midnight, July 12th to be eligible for the drawing!
Now go get yourself a dish of ice cream and get scrapping!
