Grab your party hat’s girls! It’s gonna be a week long birthday bash!
Can you believe it? It’s Scrapbook Steals BIRTHDAY…this week, and to celebrate we are throwing a week long birthday bash! Every day we will be holding a simple discussion here on or blog. All you need to do is comment to be eligible for a fantastic prize! Feel like scrapping? Well, we have a challenge for you! All layouts posted for each challenge, by Monday, July 12th, somewhere on line….be it on our Facebook Fan page, or on your own personal blog, with a link or comment provided on each daily challenge, will also be entered into a random drawing for a little scrappy blog candy!
So what do you say? Should we get this party started?
All right then….PASS ME SOME CAKE
Today we will be giving away one of THREE fantastic My Minds Eye project kits to a random winner that answers this question….
Where do you craft?
I’m a spoiled girl. I have a room dedicated solely to my scrapping addiction, but somehow it’s been taken over by loads of steals and also my kids. I really need to get in there and give it a good purge so that I can enjoy my little piece of heaven in my home. How about you? Where do you craft?
Scrapbook challenge:
We Americans and Canadians alike have both recently celebrated a holiday for our Nation. (In fact, we are celebrating today!). Create a layout using photos that you took during this years events and create a layout. Share your layout on our Facebook Fan page, and leave a comment here on today’s post, or share your layout on your blog with a link here on today’s post, and we will put you in a drawing for some scrappy goodness! Remember the layouts need to be posted by Midnight, July 12th to be eligible for the drawing!
So there you have it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I scrap in an extra bedroom in our basement, that hopefully in a couple of weeks will be transformed into only a scrap room!!!!! However I kind of like having the bed there as it allows me to lay out all my steals and admire them!!!!!! Happy birthday scrapbook steals!!!!
Teresa Martin July 5th, 2010 at 7:32 am - #3097
I mainly scrap at the kitchen table, I love to lay out my creations and my stuff and have it all before me. We have just moved though and I am going to find me at least a scrapping nook, a table, a room something so that I can leave what I am working on out and get a lot more done! At least that is my story and I am sticking to it!
chana July 5th, 2010 at 7:43 am - #3098
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am so jealous I scrap on my dining room table or in my daughters playroom on the floor or on the spare bed in there
Cyndee July 5th, 2010 at 8:17 am - #3099
I scrap either on the coffee table (it’s pretty big) or on the floor, right in front of my craft cabinet… My husband always laughs at me when he finds me sitting on the floor, with all my Scrapbook Steals scrappy goodness spread around me! :>)
Marla July 5th, 2010 at 8:22 am - #3100
I scrap on my dining room tabel or on our island in the kitchen.
I so wish I had a room for crafting/scrapping but not yet!
conniemelancon July 5th, 2010 at 8:36 am - #3101
Happy Birthday! I scrap at the kitchen table or with a friend at our LSS.
Lisa July 5th, 2010 at 8:44 am - #3102
I scrap wherever I have room. Sometimes it’s my bedroom, sometimes the dining room, and if I’m really lucky, it’s in a spare bedroom that’s unoccupied.
Staci Jones July 5th, 2010 at 8:55 am - #3103
Happy Birthday Scrapbook Steals! I scrap on an extra small dining table our landlord left in our apartment. There isn’t much room, but I sure do love that little space I have to create in.
Summer V July 5th, 2010 at 9:01 am - #3104
I just made a scrapbook space in our bedroom a few months ago! It was the best thing I ever did! Now I can leave everything set up and I have way more storage room! That means – more steals for me
happy birthday SS!
Lara July 5th, 2010 at 9:37 am - #3105
Living in an all BOY house. I needed a space of my own! About 2 months ago, I transformed an extra bedroom into my scrapbook OASIS. Every time I open the door, I swear that I can hear the hallelujah chorus! ha ha
Julie B. July 5th, 2010 at 10:04 am - #3106
I am very spoiled too. I have my own scrapbook room with a huge walk in closet that stores all my supplies. I love to walk in the closet and just look at everything! Of course, my 5 year old things the supplies are hers to use too!
Rebecca Hale July 5th, 2010 at 10:05 am - #3107
I live in a tiny apartment with 3 kids! I have zero room at home. I scrapbook in the break room at work on my lunch hour. And yep, that Neatnix Stuff Bag I stole comes in handy carrying stuff back and forth.
)
Sara T. July 5th, 2010 at 10:06 am - #3108
I scrap on the coffee table for now, but soon I will have a craft room or at least a craft area.
Marisa T. July 5th, 2010 at 10:08 am - #3109
I scrap at the kitchen table. I am in the process of turning my spare room into a scrapbook heaven but still need a new finishing touches. My son just turned one so I am hoping to be able to get time to scrap all the millions of pics I have taken over the last year.
Geri Smith July 5th, 2010 at 10:08 am - #3110
I scrap on the dining room table when my little one is napping. When we finish our basement, I’ll have a “crafty corner” in our office for all of my stuff.
liz R July 5th, 2010 at 10:09 am - #3111
Being in a house with two kids under the age of 3 it’s hard to find a spot that they won’t come along and 1. destroy what your working on or 2. insist on helping (thier version). When i do have a minute I try to hide myself in our office and scrap there where I have everything at my fingertips, including SS where I try to scraplift some of the wonderful pages. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRAPBOOK STEALS!!
Vanessa M July 5th, 2010 at 10:09 am - #3112
Happy Birthday!!!
I transformed a small corner in one of our storage rooms to my scrap space! Most of my scrappy items are still packed away since we are in a temporary home… in another month we will move again and Im hoping for a bigger house to have my own scrap space!!
Michelle E. July 5th, 2010 at 10:10 am - #3113
I scrap in my room.. I have a dedicated wall that my dad built with the white storage units from Michaels and then we place a piece of plain wood on top to make the table. This way I don’t worry about getting it dirty.. i can always change out the board if it gets too messy/stained
Hopefully I can fit everything into my apartment when i move out!
Monica July 5th, 2010 at 10:10 am - #3114
Right now it’s on the living room floor, but that will not last long- my daughter is 3 mos old!
We are also moving (next week!!) and I think I am taking over the spare bedroom in the basement- hubby and I may have to duke it out cuz I think he wants it as his man cave… but isn’t that what a garage is for??
Jasmine E July 5th, 2010 at 10:11 am - #3115
I have a scraproom downstairs, which is off limits to my one year old. =) It’s really nice having everything in one place. Happy bday!!
Jen B July 5th, 2010 at 10:12 am - #3116
Still a scrapping newbie, I have a card table set up in the garage right now (where my car usually goes) while I try to get everything organized!
Katie M July 5th, 2010 at 10:12 am - #3117
I have no space or time to scrap at home so a group of friends and I “borrow” the break room at my work on a Saturday every couple of months and have whole days of good ol’ scrappin’ girlie time. It’s amazing!
Christine Stratton July 5th, 2010 at 10:12 am - #3118
Most of the time I scrap at a friends house. She has a great space and it’s away from the kids. When I’m at home I have a little corner of my bedroom that has been dedicated to scrapping.
Andrea July 5th, 2010 at 10:13 am - #3119
It’s the dining room table for me! It would be nice to have a different space, but it works for now.
Vicki Wood July 5th, 2010 at 10:13 am - #3120
I love scrapbooking at the scrabook store. Me and all my girlfriends go when the store opens and stay for the midnight crop. Good friends, yummy food and scrapbooking.
Wendy Crowe July 5th, 2010 at 10:14 am - #3121
I wish I were lucky enough to have my own room! I have to share a corner of the family room with my hubby’s office. I have an armoire in the corner that is stuffed to the gills and I use the shelves above the machine and dryer for scrap storage. Maybe in my next lifetime I will have my own room….sigh….
Cindy Phillips July 5th, 2010 at 10:14 am - #3122
I just love the colors of the cake in the picture…..
Lisa July 5th, 2010 at 10:15 am - #3123
My husband kindly converted the downstairs bedroom into my scrapbook oasis
I secretly think he just wanted one location for me to store my things and lucky for him, there is a door! Lucky for me, I have a safe place for all of my steals. What he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right ladies!
H~A~P~P~Y B~I~R~T~H~D~A~Y !!!!
Kim July 5th, 2010 at 10:15 am - #3124
I scrap, sew, and do other random crafts in a craft room just off our living room. Pretty soon I’ll have to share it, though, as it’s also our “playroom” and we’re expecting a baby boy in September. Up until about 4 months ago, my craft room was upstairs (in what is now his nursery)…. but I’ve actually used it more since it’s moved!
Lori July 5th, 2010 at 10:16 am - #3125
Now that the kids are growing up and moving out I have been able to turn one of the bedrooms into a scrapbook room. I love being able to leave things out and work whenever it is convenient.
Jen Wilkinson July 5th, 2010 at 10:16 am - #3126
I used to scrapbook at my coffee table, but when we moved we converted one of the rooms into an office/scrapbooking room. It is much easier because we have 2 cats and a dog. They are a little too helpful sometimes! They love to sleep on the shiny smooth paper I always have out. Plus they try to attack the Cricut while it is cutting!
Liz July 5th, 2010 at 10:19 am - #3127
I took over the dining room. It is an absolutely huge room has enough room for a wall unit, a full size desk and a dining table that seats 8. I put all my scrappy supplies in the wall unit and spread out all over the dining room table. It always looks like a scrapbook store exploded in there.
Cristine R. July 5th, 2010 at 10:20 am - #3128
I used to scrapbook on our dining room table, but it was a pain to have to put all of my things away as that is also where we eat dinner. This past Mother’s Day, my husband gave me the green light to turn a closet – which happens to be in the toy room – into my scrap haven. I can scrap while the girls are playing (if they let me, that is) and I can close the doors when I am done. I’m so much more productive now!
Melissa Harris July 5th, 2010 at 10:22 am - #3129
I also am a lucky girl, an have my own scraproom…but find myself carring supplies upstairs and spreading out on the pool table, my husband laughs everytime , hey a girl can’t have enough scrap space
Suzanne July 5th, 2010 at 10:24 am - #3130
I scrap on my kitchen table, or at a friends house… 3 or 4 of us get together, chat, scrap, and help the others with ideas!!! Love it!!! Bonne Fête / Happy Birthday!!!!
Kara Anderson July 5th, 2010 at 10:26 am - #3131
I have my own crafting room in our basement full to the max with supplies.
Courtney Newport July 5th, 2010 at 10:28 am - #3132
I scrap at the kitchen table or wherever I can find a space that hasn’t been taken over by kids toys!! Happy Birthday!!
Bobbie Jo Howard July 5th, 2010 at 10:29 am - #3133
Happy Birthday to you!!!
I am lucky enough to have a scrapbook room also. I am in the process of baby proofing it though (not an easy task) so that I can share time in there with my 9 month old baby girl.
Terri M July 5th, 2010 at 10:30 am - #3134
Happy Birthday. My storage basement works great! Away from everyone thing.
sandyh50 July 5th, 2010 at 10:31 am - #3135
Happy Birthday Scrapbook Steals! I scrap on the dining room table mostly, but I have set up other folding tables in my living room in order to spread out stuff! I’m kind of a messy scrapper! LOL
Jennifer Cross July 5th, 2010 at 10:32 am - #3136
I have a craft table set up in the basement playroom. My girls are really good at not touching Mommy’s “toys”. We all “play” downstairs together
Candice Krogh July 5th, 2010 at 10:37 am - #3137
I am lucky enough to have my own scrap space. Of course I am constantly changing things around as I get more neat stuff.
Holly Ford July 5th, 2010 at 10:37 am - #3138
We have a really small apartment, so I craft wherever I can! Sometimes it is on our bed (my husband hates the glitter!), sometimes the couch, sometimes in the office area on a card table, and even the floor sometimes!
Ashley King July 5th, 2010 at 10:39 am - #3139
Happy Birthday.. I scrapbook where ever I can find a place to lay everything out since I live in a very tiny apartment. I Love all the steals that you have!!!!!!
Jenn Richardson July 5th, 2010 at 10:40 am - #3140
Happy Birthday to you…happy birthday to you…Happy Birthday dear Scrapbooksteallls…Happy Biiiirthhhdayyyyyyyyyyy to you *and many more!* I gave up my scrappy room when my mother can to live with us so now I am set up in a corner of my unfinished basement which is fine but kind of dreary and uninspiring but no biggie! You girls ROCK have a great week
nerdgrl July 5th, 2010 at 10:41 am - #3141
Even though I have a SBing room, I actually prefer to scrap either at my LSS (Scrapbooks Too) or at Archiver’s. I find I don’t like SBing by myself. So, even if I go alone, I can always find someone to talk with, and some of the ladies have become SBing buddies!
Mary Barger July 5th, 2010 at 10:43 am - #3142
I scrapook in my office. I think it’s turned into more of a scrapbook room than office. Happy Birthday to you!
StephanieU July 5th, 2010 at 10:46 am - #3143
I do my crafting all over the place. I get the most done at ladies craft nights at our church a few times a year. I also have a spot in our bedroom to do little things, and I do things with my daughter on our dining table.
Melanie Henderson July 5th, 2010 at 10:50 am - #3144
Happy Birthday Scrapbook Steals!!!!
I currently have a ‘scrapbooking corner’ in my basement BUT I can’t wait to move into our new house as it has a 4th bedroom which I will turn into a spare bedroom/scrapbooking room!
Melanie July 5th, 2010 at 10:51 am - #3145
I have a folding table out in in our family room. I told me husband to leave it here after I had a crop night at my house. It just seemed so convienent to leave it out!
Kim July 5th, 2010 at 10:51 am - #3146
Ever since my son was born, my craft bedroom is now the nursery. So, now I craft at the kitchen table. We often eat dinner by clearing small areas for our plates! lol Happy Birthday!
Jenn H July 5th, 2010 at 11:02 am - #3147
I scrapbook at my mom’s most of the time, she watches the kids, while I take a little time to myself! Plus we share all of our materials!
Brittany July 5th, 2010 at 11:05 am - #3148
My basement has a large room that was originally my craft room, then it became my mother-in-law’s bedroom (for a month), and now it’s my craft room and a spare bedroom. I just wish I could get my hubby to move my supplies back down there and out of our no-touch living room!
Vicki J July 5th, 2010 at 11:06 am - #3149
I card make at the kitchen counter, which means carrying a lot of loads up and down the stairs from the “office” to the kitchen.
I also just recently did my first scrapbook page with my daughter, and we scrapped on the family room floor. Wasn’t the ideal location, but seeing as it was my very first page and i didn’t know what I was doing – it turned out okay!
Jessica July 5th, 2010 at 11:06 am - #3150
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRAPBOOK STEALS!!
I find myself crafting it up at my living room table. I have 4 wonderful little boys who are obsessed with stickers so if I do it anywhere else they are all up in my space trying to take over haha.
Marie Phillips July 5th, 2010 at 11:09 am - #3151
For medical reasons, my 4 YO daughter and I have had to move in with my parents. I have taken over my Mom’s dining room (she is not too thrilled about that!!), but she sacrifices for me LOL!
Happy B-Day SS!
Jenny July 5th, 2010 at 11:12 am - #3152
I have a scrapbooking room (although I share a little corner of it with my hubby for his computer and gaming stuff). Sadly, however, we recently had our second child and that room has become the catch-all room and it is not conducive to scrapbooking, or even sitting for that matter. We plan to fix that SOON. But, in the meantime, I scrapbook on my dining room table. I look forward to having “my” room back.
Yaya B July 5th, 2010 at 11:13 am - #3153
I have a scrapbooking area in my basement. A metal shelf unit is for albums waiting to be used. A storeroom where I keep my tons of extra paper and my scrapping magazines is down there too. I still manage to spread out to the dining room, and the guest room. Happy Birthday week Scrapbook Steals. My birthday is tomorrow.
Cassie July 5th, 2010 at 11:13 am - #3154
I have my own scrapbooking room too that I share with my husband’s workworking hobby. We both have our own desk so we can work on our hobbies at the same time
Julia Mueller July 5th, 2010 at 11:13 am - #3155
Wow, a party with prizes! Fun! I have a very small dedicated room in our basement. It is so chock full of goodies, there is barely room to scrap! Needs some attention! Happy B-Day S/B steals! Love ya
Amanda L July 5th, 2010 at 11:15 am - #3156
I am lucky enough to have my own room too we are living in a mobile home right now while we get ready to build so my room is more of a converted enterance way but hey it’s all mine and it has a door to go outside so I figure in a fire I will have perfect acess to grab my albums and pics and run
in the new house I have strict instructions that it is to have an extra room for my scrapbooking….. You know u have an addiction when!!
Happy birthday!!!
Wendy Konoza July 5th, 2010 at 11:15 am - #3157
I craft in my living room. I have a little table where I unload my stuff and get working. My kids (and husband)are well-trained and know not to touch Mommy’s “toys’. I usually leave my stuff relatively packed up and I often go to my favorite store for late night crops. Works for me!!!
Liz Martinez July 5th, 2010 at 11:17 am - #3158
I like to scrap at my friend Wendy’s house. We get out the tables, throw the kids in the basement and have fun. The men take care of the kids and bring us munchies and drinks.
Heather July 5th, 2010 at 11:22 am - #3159
I am so lucky to have my own craft room. Although it is part exercise room as well. I love being able to work in there and not have to put everything away all the time! Happy Birthday Scrapbook Steals!
Kim B July 5th, 2010 at 11:24 am - #3160
I do share an office with my hubby upstairs in our house. So all of my stash is there, but typically you’ll find me downstairs on the floor in front of the TV scrapping
Happy Birthday!!!
Aileen July 5th, 2010 at 11:26 am - #3161
I’m lucky that I have my own craft room but it’s a disaster right now. I need to get it organized big time!
Melissa Ashby July 5th, 2010 at 11:32 am - #3162
I unfortunately do not have a designated space at this time to scrapbook
But don’t worry I do not feel sorry for myself even a little bit hehehe. I am a busy mom of 4 children and find it difficult to take time to scrapbook but when I do it is at our dining room table after the kids have gone to bed.
I have managed to steal a few items from scrapbook steals and have already used quite a few of them to make cards~! Happy Birthday Scrapbook Steals !♡
Karen Weingartner July 5th, 2010 at 11:32 am - #3163
I have a craft room in our house. When we bought our house, we purposely bought one with 4 bedrooms as I wanted a crafty space. (No kids, yet…)
My husband, parents, and in-laws all helped furnish initially since we moved in right before my birthday! I love it!
Happy Birthday!
Coleen July 5th, 2010 at 11:36 am - #3164
Happy Birthday!!! I scrap in what the builder called a “computer niche” on the second floor of our house. It is a very small, open area, with a built in desk/counter and some bookshelves where all the scrappin’ stuff is stored. All it needs is a door to keep the kiddos out and we are all set:)
Ashley Bluth July 5th, 2010 at 11:37 am - #3165
I scrap either on my kitchen table, on my bedroom floor or on the coffee table. My house isn’t very big. I don’t do layouts though, I make cards. That’s my thing. So I guess I can’t enter the contest, phooey.
Francesca K. July 5th, 2010 at 11:38 am - #3166
I used to have a room dedicated to just my crafting. But my son came along and has now pushed me to the kitchen table or where ever I can find some space.
Rachael July 5th, 2010 at 11:38 am - #3167
I scrap in my office. I would love an area just for scrapping – but it’s better than when I used to scrap in my living room. Happy Birthday!
Jenn July 5th, 2010 at 11:39 am - #3168
I currently craft at the dining room table. When we bought this house a year and a half ago, part of the reason was because it has a bedroom in the basement we could use as a craft room. I had just arranged it, 3 weeks after we moved in, and the basement flooded… Fortunately, nothing was ruined with the exception of drywall and flooring. I will be in that room soon hopefully!!
Madalyn Moorman July 5th, 2010 at 11:47 am - #3169
If I do it at home, I usually do it at the dining table. But I usually do a lot of scrapbooking at friends’ crops.
LynetteC July 5th, 2010 at 11:47 am - #3170
I craft everywhere in my home except the bathroom and toilet, lol. Be it the kitchen table, my bed or walk in closet, livingroom and family there is a trial of scraps left.
Jana July 5th, 2010 at 11:48 am - #3171
I’m so lucky to have a room to fill with all my crafty goodness! It doubles as a guest room when family/friends come to visit, but I’ll take it! I think hubby’s pretty happy to have all things crafty off the dining room table, because I used to leave works-in-progress there for days!
BarbaraMSD July 5th, 2010 at 11:51 am - #3172
First of all, happy birthday! I have a tiny room that is mine, all mine. I painted it a lovely shade of blue and added a couple of pretty lamps. The trick now is keeping it organized!
Jen July 5th, 2010 at 11:52 am - #3173
I scrap at my dining room table. I would love to
have a scrapping room but that’s a plan in
process. I do scrap with friends at one of their
homes, usually once a week. It’s alot if fun!
Happy birthday!!
natalie July 5th, 2010 at 11:54 am - #3174
we have a 2 bedroom apt so no space for me to have my own crafty area :[ I craft at the kitchen table. All my supplies are nice and organized in their own little area in the living room. It could be an eyesore, but we dont have many visitors, and it doesnt bother us, so oh well!
a_place_for_ink July 5th, 2010 at 11:56 am - #3175
I have a dedicated scrap & stamp room, but mostly create in our media room or at our kitchen table (out where everybody is doing stuff!). Occassionally I’ll get a project done IN the stamp room or media room (did I mention the media room is no longer used by anyone but moi?) oops…we’re working on that! lol
Have a very happy birthday week! Looking forward to the challenges!
Angie July 5th, 2010 at 11:59 am - #3176
I am lucky enough to have a dedicated craft room. It is a mess but it is mine.
Christina Swift July 5th, 2010 at 12:06 pm - #3177
I craft at our kitchen table…. my husband has gotten used to eating dinner on his lap if I am in the middle of a project. All of my supplies are stored neatly(ish) in the guest room. I so need a craft room!!
Erin July 5th, 2010 at 12:12 pm - #3179
Anywhere I can squeeze in my stuff! A folding table on the deck is my favorite right now! (I do have to clean up every night, but it keeps me clean!)
bev July 5th, 2010 at 12:14 pm - #3180
I have a scrap/craft room and today I am trying my best to organize it. It feels like I have gone shopping because I found stuff I forgot about. I do have my “goods” stashed in other rooms in the house, I am hoping today I can bring that to my craft room and get even more organized. I did see todays steal, and I was lucky enough to get it last time you had it…I haven’t even used it yet, and after seeing it online, I want so bad to stop cleaning/organizing and play
by the way..Happy Birthday!!!!
Heather Cady July 5th, 2010 at 12:18 pm - #3181
Happy Birthday
I have a creative zone – I live alone, so in addition to this wonderful room, I must confess I do let it spread throughout the house when I’m working on a major project
eliza July 5th, 2010 at 12:22 pm - #3182
I scrap on my dining room table or on the floor in my bedroom. Happy Birthday ScrapbookSteals!
Melissa D. July 5th, 2010 at 12:24 pm - #3183
I have a corner in the basement toy area that I have taken over. I would like a room with a view but for now, it keeps all of my supplies out of sight…and WOW, my supplies have multiplied since finding scrapbook steals! Happy Birthday to you!!
Eva July 5th, 2010 at 12:25 pm - #3184
Scrappy Birthday
I’m am lucky enough to have a room in the house with an 8 foot scrapbooking table, So I can spread out as much or as little as I need to, to get my scrapbooking on
The nicest thing about having a dedicated scrapbooking room is not having to clean it up when I’m working on a project that I plan on coming back to to finish another day.
Sunnibo July 5th, 2010 at 12:27 pm - #3185
I am scattered all over the house. I have my sewing table downstairs in our living room. It is an old country table (that I love) set up behind our couch. Then all of my scrapbook gear is on a folding table in my master bedroom. It is so great to have it right there, so after I put my girls to bed, I can go and relax and scrap in the most peaceful room of my house. I also took over the linen closet to store all of my crafting supplies. They are all separated into little plastic bins by category (well, maybe not, but that is the general idea!)
Wendy Lawrence July 5th, 2010 at 12:40 pm - #3187
I scrap in my scrap room. I love it and I am blessed to have it. I have overgrown my room and that means I need to purge and clean it. But it is mine all mine.
Nicole H July 5th, 2010 at 12:40 pm - #3188
I scrap in an area in our rec room. I wish it was a more dedicated space so I didn’t have to always clean up after a project. But if I don’t little hands are exploring in it.
Heather W. July 5th, 2010 at 12:41 pm - #3189
My scrap space is in the laundry room…one half laundry, one half scrap space. It seemed like I had plenty of shelving and storage until I discovered SS, lol…not that I am complaining, as I can’t believe the amazing deals that I have been lucky enough to “steal”. I have just had to get more creative with storage solutions:)Happy Birthday SS!!!
Heather July 5th, 2010 at 12:45 pm - #3190
Happy Birthday SS!
I use the spare room/office to scrap. I can use the bed to lay out all my goodies and the closet has been transformed into a desk with lots of shelves for all my supplies. It’s starting to fill up now with all my steals
Cybil nomura July 5th, 2010 at 1:12 pm - #3191
I scrap in my scrapbook room. It’s not alll mine since my DH has his office there, but he has generously given me half the room to do as I please. I have it all organized with paper shelfs and ribbon holders. I love it!
Keltie July 5th, 2010 at 1:12 pm - #3192
I don’t have a dedicated room for scrapbooking, but I do my scrapbooking on a portable table while I watch TV. My favourite thing to do is to scrapbook while the Olympics (summer or winter) are on!
Kendra July 5th, 2010 at 1:14 pm - #3193
I have a whole scrapbook room that I usually scrap in. I also sometime scrap at my boyfriends place or at work on my lap while on break.
Selena July 5th, 2010 at 1:23 pm - #3194
I scrap in the attic. I have stuff everywhere. I get the motovation to clean and organize only to find things of interest all over and stat making pages and projects and when the dust settles I look up and im burried under scrapbooking goodies all over again. My husband drives semi and I went with him for the first 2 weeks of june. I took my stuff with me (basic grey kits from lss). Bought a laptop table and scrapped happily away as he drove through construction and rush hour traffic in down town Chicago. Totally addicted!!!!
Andrea Johnson July 5th, 2010 at 1:51 pm - #3195
Happy Birthday, Scrapbook Steals!
Then I have to stop scrapping, clean up and actually cook! Geesh!
I scrap at the kitchen table. All my stuff is stored in plastic drawers and such on the bar that we never used. It works fine — until the family wants to eat
Twila July 5th, 2010 at 2:11 pm - #3196
My crafting space is still a work in progress, so I scrap and create in the dining room. I must admit though, I prefer to lay everything out on the floor and sit there and create than at the table
joy July 5th, 2010 at 2:15 pm - #3197
i’m pretty spoiled too, i have an extra bedroom that i’ve converted into my “scrap room” and that’s where i keep all my craft supplies and do all my scrapping
Betsy July 5th, 2010 at 2:19 pm - #3198
Happy Birthday ScrapbookSteals!
I scrap on the dining room table.
Lori P. July 5th, 2010 at 2:23 pm - #3199
Happy Birthday!!! I have a crafty desk stuck in the corner of the basement that I work at. i’m so jealous of everyone with their scrap rooms….but that gives me a “must have” for any new houses that we search for
Amanda July 5th, 2010 at 2:31 pm - #3200
I’m very lucky, I have my own Scrapbooking room. When we went house hunting last summer one of my must haves on my list was a 3rd bedroom to turn into my scrap room. It just so happens the room was pink, my fave colour! I have my computer desk, as well as a table to scrap along as well as paper holder, a craft filing cabinet and a few more shelves and cabinets made for scrapbooking stuff. I love it
Courtney Lee July 5th, 2010 at 2:40 pm - #3201
Happy birthday and that’s a fantastic cake! I craft at our dining room table. As we only have a studio, then there isn’t much of a choice in location! But it looks out over a gorgeous courtyard and I have my plants growing right in front of me so it does the job!
Jen July 5th, 2010 at 2:43 pm - #3202
I would love to have a room dedicated to scrapbooking/crafting, but since we don’t have the room in our current home, I scrapbook on a craft table set up in our living room. It’s my own private corner
Someday, I will have a room to call my own though!
Stephanie July 5th, 2010 at 3:12 pm - #3203
Happy birthday…I’ll have some of that cake!
I have a desk/cupboard combo from IKEA. It’s perfect, because at least when I get around to cleaning it, I can close the doors and fold up the table out of the way.
Alysha Herrera July 5th, 2010 at 3:27 pm - #3204
I really do not have a designated craft/scrap space, so I usually get set up a card table somewhere and dig through all my supplies. I recently bought a scrapbox so I could just fold it all up when I am done, but I have not set it up yet.. soon I hope to be much more creative!
Judy s. July 5th, 2010 at 3:35 pm - #3205
I scrap at the dining room table, the coffe table or the living room floor. I would love to have my own space. Someday… I am happy that I found a cabinet to put all my steals in!
Donna July 5th, 2010 at 3:45 pm - #3206
Welll I am spoiled I do have my own office/craftroom however most of the time I end up scaping in my living room. My living room is bigger so makes it easier to do layouts and such so yeah.
Amy July 5th, 2010 at 3:50 pm - #3207
I scrapbook on my kitchen table. I’d love to have just a corner to scrapbook and save the creations I’m working on instead of packing it all up when the time call for it.
Jennifer Abbott-Scott July 5th, 2010 at 3:50 pm - #3208
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCRAPBOOK STEALS!!!
I craft in my dining room and at my coffee table. I’m running into some storage issues though now thanks to all my loot from SS (teehee) so our next house will definitely need a separate craft room!
Chloe S. July 5th, 2010 at 4:02 pm - #3209
Right now I’m scrapping on my dining room table, but that will only be for a few more weeks. Our basement reno is almost done and then I’ll have a dedicated scrapping “room” (a corner of the office). Can’t wait to be organized!
Michelle July 5th, 2010 at 4:23 pm - #3210
I mostly scrap on my lap these days as I often also have a baby on my lap, too! Good ole digital scrapping!
But my 3-yesr-old son enjoys using all my scrapbooking tools, so we’ve been making lots of cards together in “Mommy’s Playroom” (office & scrap room). One of these days, I’ll be able to settle down in my new scrapping area and revisit all my traditional albums that have been neglected since the boys arrived. Happy happy happy bday, SS! Many thanks for all that you do for us
Kerri July 5th, 2010 at 4:48 pm - #3211
HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!! I too have a scrapbook room but unfortunately I don’t go in there very often it is so unorganized. I go in there to work on it, look at it don’t know where to start do I turn around and go back up stairs. so I’m going to challenge myself to get my great room in to working order =o.
Amber July 5th, 2010 at 5:22 pm - #3212
I try to use the kitchen table, but everything usually spills onto the floor because there’s so much more room. It works!
Tessa Buys July 5th, 2010 at 6:13 pm - #3213
Happy Birthday! I have a scrap room, but it’s more like a small walk-in closet. I really can’t complain, though
. Someday I hope to have my “dream” space!
Adrea Hill July 5th, 2010 at 6:28 pm - #3214
Happy Birthday! I have a room that is currently dedicated to my crafts…it is so nice to have that!
Marlaine July 5th, 2010 at 6:43 pm - #3215
i craft at ,my kitchen table but when we develop our basement we are building a craft room
Chrissy July 5th, 2010 at 7:08 pm - #3216
I scrap at a church with a bunch of friends. We get together once a month for some good chit-chat, music, and quality scrapbooking time!
Erica R July 5th, 2010 at 7:39 pm - #3217
Happy Birthday SS!
I sectioned off a corner of our basement for my scrapbook room. I have my sons play area right there too so he can play with his toys and I can scrap. It’s working out well.
Ericka July 5th, 2010 at 7:54 pm - #3218
Happy Birthday!! I get to use the spare bedroom/office for scrapping. I would love to set up an area soley for scrap, but it doesn’t work in our house!
abbey_49 July 5th, 2010 at 8:23 pm - #3219
Happy Birthday!!! I renovated a bedroom downstairs to be my crafting room. I`ve used it a few times but once fall hits I plan to use it a lot!
Natalie July 5th, 2010 at 9:16 pm - #3220
Happy Birthday!
I’m so jealous of everyone who has a scrapbook room… I have to store all my supplies in the storage closet and scrap on the kitchen table…oh someday…
Kimberley M July 5th, 2010 at 10:22 pm - #3221
I have a room in the basement but the table is usually full of clutter. I need to be on one of those reality shows that help you get rid of junk but then they would make me get rid of some of my scrapbook stuff. I seem to be more of a collector then a scrapper right now. Two kids under two will do that to you!
Jenilyn July 5th, 2010 at 10:38 pm - #3222
I like to scrap in a place where I can have plenty of space to lay everything out around me, right now it happens to be on my living room floor while my baby is sleeping.
Roxie Griffith July 5th, 2010 at 10:39 pm - #3223
I’m a little spoiled too. I have my own room to scrap in. I am trying to get it organized to be able to scrap easier but it works.
Jen July 5th, 2010 at 10:43 pm - #3224
I currently scrap at the kitchen table. I have all my steals in totes and drag them over to the table. I am hoping to take over the spare bedroom soon.
Jennifer Blomquist July 6th, 2010 at 12:46 am - #3226
Happy Birthday Scrapbook steals! I got spoiled when I moved a few moves ago and had a room all to my crafting and computer. So now, everytime we move I get at least half a room to my craft stuff. So, I have my craft stuff on the walls, in a shelf unit, and some book cases with a fold out table in the middle. I make a big mess so its best I don’t scrap on the kitchen table.
HeatherC July 6th, 2010 at 1:22 am - #3227
So jealous of the ladies who have a whole room!!! I scrap on my kitchen table. I usually have a HUGE mess all over it. Most of my stuff though, stays on a bookshelf in the extra room… Let’s just say that the stash has gotten rather large lately.
cris July 6th, 2010 at 7:14 am - #3229
i have a room to scrap in but right now it is in the corner. i have a table and shelves and some plastic rolling carts for my storage. oh and a paper rack. once we get the rest of the room cleaned out then it will be mine, all mine!! happy birthday steals!!
Carly Johnston July 6th, 2010 at 10:01 am - #3230
I scrap/craft/sew in my diningroom. I’m begging for a “craft corner” when we eventually buy a bigger house!
Nikki July 6th, 2010 at 10:02 am - #3232
I scrap on my kitchen table, which is also my sewing table, the junk collector spot! lol When we buy a house, I am making sure it has a craft spot just for me!
Karisse July 6th, 2010 at 10:19 am - #3248
I had a separate room for scrapbooking until last week when a new baby girl joined our family! Now I’m in “limbo” and will be setting up a table in the family room. Whatever it takes to get a little scrap time!
Kristina July 6th, 2010 at 10:22 am - #3250
No room at my house, but a close friend stores a lot of our stuff with hers. Which works well cause then if we need something else no one has to run out when we all meet up.
Although I do sew at home but its going to have to get moved soon as it sits in the living room in a 2′x2′ corner at knee height. Not the best seeing my 4 month old is pulling herself up while holding my fingers level.
Heidi Crawford July 6th, 2010 at 10:30 am - #3259
I have part of a spare room that we use as the comptuer room, scrapbooking, and anything else room. Trying to get it back organized after going to a scrapbooking retreat so that I can find everything.
audrey July 6th, 2010 at 10:51 am - #3264
i usually have to actually pack up and leave to get any scrapping done. When we finished our basement my husband made me a little room in the back that could be closed off for me to scrap in. However, it’s slowly been taken over as Christmas storage and toys from the kids.
Abbey July 6th, 2010 at 11:08 am - #3271
I scrap at my computer desk. Of course right now it is also my sewing desk and office and it sits in the corner of what needs to go back to being a functioning nursery in the next 3 months!
Christine S July 6th, 2010 at 12:09 pm - #3282
I currently use the dining room table. I used to have a whole room to myself, but we moved & I lost the extra room to our new baby! I guess if you are going to lose a craft room to something a new bundle of joy is a pretty good reason. Now I have a ton of pictures to scrap because of her & it’s all done on my table!
Corey July 6th, 2010 at 12:25 pm - #3285
Happy birthday! Mine is Friday.
I craft at our kitchen table after the kids go to bed. I’m a big spread out type of crafter and use our entire 5′ round dining table. Unfortunately, that is a lot of clean up and takes a while to get adequately messy enough to start! I would love a dedicated craft room, but just don’t see it happening unless we move! We are already full at this inn!
Lindsay July 6th, 2010 at 12:43 pm - #3289
I have an awesome craft room in my basement! I’m so, so lucky!
Samantha T. July 6th, 2010 at 1:09 pm - #3294
I craft in my craft room. I’m blessed enough to have space enought to have 1 whole room in the house dedicated to my hobby.
heather July 6th, 2010 at 4:03 pm - #3302
I craft in my living room…it’s a pain so I don’t do it as often as I would like, or I go to different places that have all night/day crops!
Brenda July 6th, 2010 at 5:10 pm - #3311
Kitchen table…which is a pain, because that means I have to put it all away. SOMETIMES I scrap on the LR floor-but only if the hubby is away for a few days.
I get a craft room when the last 2 kids move out. Not that I’m rushing them….
Tanya July 7th, 2010 at 1:06 am - #3327
I craft on a table in our front room… it gets quite messy but it works.
jamie s. July 7th, 2010 at 10:57 am - #3341
i do have a scrapping room at my house which i love but i do enjoy going away for the weekend either to an all weekend crop or even just for a day at our local scrapbooking store.. its always great to get out of the house and be with other people who share in my passion for scrappin!!
Erin S July 7th, 2010 at 11:05 am - #3356
Right now I’m a homeless scrapper! (We are military and in between bases right now.) So, of course I have my laptop with me and am doing several pages digitally. I guess I scrap everywhere right now!
Jo-Ann July 7th, 2010 at 11:12 am - #3369
I scrap in an area between my kitchen and dining room….on top of my freezer! I do have a scrap room but there is waaaaaay to much stuff to allow me any scrappy room! I’m working on it though!
Tessa Buys July 7th, 2010 at 11:16 am - #3374
I scrapped one of my favorite photos from last weekend

I have a little scraproom in an old spare room in the basement. It’s so far away from our living space though, I don’t get down there often enough. I long for space upstairs with some sunlight! ….on the upside, I can get away from noisy kids in my little cave
Joanne Pineda July 7th, 2010 at 11:58 am - #3395
Happy Birthday!i scrap on the kitchen table. Its quite a mess while I’m there, paper and scraps everywhere. I hope to one day have my own space but for now it works and I’m happy as long as I’m scrapping.
Amanda W July 7th, 2010 at 12:20 pm - #3400
I would LOVE to have my own scrap room, but now that I have 2 kids, we don’t have the extra room I had before. So, now I am in a corner in my bedroom with a craft desk. I would love to have more space and have it whre my kids can’t get into it as much, but I will have to deal with what I have now. I try to keep it organized, but most of the time there is scrap paper and “stuff” everywhere.
Shelley W. July 7th, 2010 at 12:45 pm - #3413
I craft wherever I can find a spot! I don’t have a dedicated room, but I do craft on our dining table or sometimes I’ll set up my own table in the living room so that I don’t have to pick up my stuff so we can eat!
Kelsie July 7th, 2010 at 12:48 pm - #3415
I have a built-in desk in our newly-finished basement….not sure how I’m going to protect it from the busy fingers that will soon be crawling around my house!
Sarah Babin July 7th, 2010 at 1:18 pm - #3423
I have a table set up in my laundry room to scrap on. I rarely use it though. I tend to drag everything out and put it on the dining room table!
Erin S July 7th, 2010 at 3:58 pm - #3447
I scrap on my living room floor for now, hopefully when we buy a house I will have my own scrapping room!
Michele Kirkpatrick July 7th, 2010 at 7:47 pm - #3462
I have part of a guest bedroom organized with all my scrap supplies. I love having my own space so I never have to “put up” everything after I scrap.
Trudie Lloyd July 7th, 2010 at 8:09 pm - #3465
I have a dedicated room for scrapping but it is usually a mess so I mainly visit my LSS to hang out with my friends. The best part about my LSS is that even if my regular scrapping buddies are not there I can always find someone to talk to!
Carol (ScrapMomOf2) July 7th, 2010 at 8:25 pm - #3469
I have a triangular loft space above our two story family room. It’s overflowing, crowded, and always messy, but it’s all mine, and I love it!! I’m fortunate to have my own space!!
Ugh! I need to find time for the challenges!!
Kristy MacKeen July 7th, 2010 at 8:29 pm - #3470
I have part of our guest room in the basement set up for scraping and the closet in that room for storing all my goodies, but somehow I end up pulling out what I need for a project and taking over the dining room table. If you ask my hubby, he’ll probably tell you I scrap all over our house.
Renee Owens July 7th, 2010 at 11:26 pm - #3485
Kitchen Table
Everything is in a drawer in my dresser and I bring it out make my stuff and put it back.
Andrea Penny July 8th, 2010 at 6:27 am - #3496
We have a group of us that get together once a week to scrapbook. We take turns at each other’s houses, and it’s usually at a kitchen table, but one friend has her own awesome scrapbook room.
Ginny Penn July 8th, 2010 at 10:35 am - #3509
I’ve had a creative room for the last three years that we’ve had our house. But our kids need to sleep in separate rooms in order to…sleep!
We took the opportunity to turn a wall in our large dining room into a scrap zone & I love it. I can steal a few minutes here and there while the kids are pleasantly playing. I actually like it better than when I had a dedicated room.
Audrey July 8th, 2010 at 10:36 am - #3510
This is probably why I don’t get to scrapbook so often, but I craft (all my crafts, bow making, scrapbooking and all) in my living room. I can’t wait until we can move into a bigger house and I will insist on having a craft room!
Brittany Armstrong July 8th, 2010 at 10:51 am - #3512
On the very rare occasions I get a chance to scrapbook I do it on my kitchen table

Suzanne July 8th, 2010 at 11:17 am - #3525
I craft in the bedroom …and make a mess, but it’s fun and my husband likes the end product!
Meladee July 8th, 2010 at 12:02 pm - #3541
I made a little table with some storage areas down in our one room basement. It also doubles as our guest bedroom, and outdoor gear storage. I love it that way when I am in a hurry and don’t have time to put evrything away, or just need some time away to look bacj with fresh eyes I don’t have to wrry about little hands getting into it!
Erica July 8th, 2010 at 2:00 pm - #3592
I don’t have a dedicated space, so I scrap on the dining table/coffee table. I have to pull out my stuff when the mood strikes which means I do power scrapping (lots of projects at once) to get the most out of my effort of hauling it all out and putting it all away again.
Amber Sheaves July 8th, 2010 at 3:41 pm - #3625
I have my own room! I have 3 boys so this is my sanctuary. It’s painted pink with some flowers on the wall. Although, this has not stopped the kids from coming in to craft. I made them their own little corner in there with their own supplies. They are under strict orders not to touch mine!!! : )
Tricia V July 8th, 2010 at 4:12 pm - #3635
I scrap on the dining room table, or when I get together with my girlfriends which was once a week, but thats been put on hold for the summer. Now trying to make a new corner for my stuff so I can leave what I am doing out to finish later.
Carrie July 8th, 2010 at 4:41 pm - #3643
My husband was kind enough to help me create my own scrapbooking “sanctuary” last month. It’s become a wonderful place for me to get some peace and quiet from our busy lives — and it’s also a place where I can document the craziness of our lives in scrapbooks!
Randi Wiggins July 8th, 2010 at 5:48 pm - #3657
I scrap in our extra bedroom/office. Sometimes I like to scrap on my bed so I can spend some extra time with the hubby and our LM!
sandra m. July 8th, 2010 at 7:25 pm - #3666
I scrap where ever I can! I have some dedicated space in the rec room for storage, but usually grab what I need and scrap at the kitchen table.

I scrap wherever I can find the space. Usually on my kitchen table or counter. Maybe someday I’ll have an official “Scrapbook Space”…. maybe.
Kyla July 9th, 2010 at 12:25 am - #3697
the room in our house that is SUPPOSED to be the master bedroom is known as “Mom’s Creative Memories room” this is where I scrap, craft and WRAP PRESENTS
Lynda July 9th, 2010 at 12:45 am - #3701
I have my own space…but it is shared with my treadmill and the only real storeage closet in the house, so my things are moved around a lot…
Happy Birthday!
Joy July 9th, 2010 at 10:35 am - #3723
In my new craft room, we transformed the extra bedroom into a craftroom/office for my bday! Yay!
Leah July 9th, 2010 at 11:13 am - #3734
I have a wall set up in the spare bedroom with a 6′ folding table, stacking storage cubes for all my papers and embellishments, the top half of an armoir for larger items (cricut, paper cutter, etc) and a rolling storage bin for everything else. I hate having to “clean up” when we are expecting guests!
Cyndy Guerr July 9th, 2010 at 11:45 am - #3743
I have a scrapping table in my house that is off the kitchen but overlooks the livingroom so I can still see my kids playing but it allows for Mommy to play as well! : )
Erica R July 9th, 2010 at 12:37 pm - #3756
I have a section of our unfinished basement next to my sons toy room. It works out well because he always wants to play with his toys and it gives me a little time to scrap.
Jenny Johns July 9th, 2010 at 1:41 pm - #3765
I have an office/craft room! Love it, but it can get kinda messy with all the creating going on…but at least I can close the door..ha!

I craft in our upstairs bonus room, its not finished yet but I make due
