Happy Birthday Day Number THREE!
We are so loving this week long celebration! Today we are very excited about our give away. Echo Park Paper is a new Scrapbooking company that just burst onto the scene a few months ago. Their fun and happy designs just make me squeal with delight. Just for full disclosure’s sake, this new company was started by one of my favorite people, Madison Parker. I have known him for years and have worked with him at more than one company. He has done such a great job making sure Echo Park Paper’s designs are top notch. So go check them out here on their facebook fan page, like them, then come back here and answer our question of the day: How often do you get to scrapbook? You can win one of three kits of their new collection “Walk in the Park”
If I was to answer the question I would have to say NOT ENOUGH! Most of my scrapbooking comes because I do it for work, which I love. Or I end up just making mini albums for vacations or whatever. I am so far behind in actually scrapbooking for my kids’ albums. Remember you have until Friday at 5PM MST to enter all of our “daily question” contests! We will announce the winners of these during our online crop.
Check out today’s challenge sketch also. Remember you have until Monday July 12th, at Midnight MST to post your creations to be entered into the challenge contests.

I wish I had more time to scrapbook. I have a 8 month old and a 2 1/2 year old that keep be pretty busy. The only time I get to sneak down is when they are sleeping or when our favorite store here has Crop weekends. We were in a once a month crop night but it’s over for the summer. I love scrapbooking and I wish I had more time but the time I get I seem to get LOTS done!
Jenn H July 7th, 2010 at 10:54 am - #3333
Not as often as I would like. I have a 9mo old and a 2 1/2 yr old. So scrapbooking comes very last!
chana July 7th, 2010 at 10:54 am - #3335
I was also going to just comment not enough until i finished reading your post. I was very dillagent with scrapbooking Bracha’s first year (probably helped that i was on mat leave) but she is almost three and i have piles of pictures and a few scattered pages to show it!
Geri Smith July 7th, 2010 at 10:55 am - #3336
Not very often. I sneak in pages here and there. And when my daughter needs an “about me” poster, I get to have some scrapbooking fun. But, otherwise, I don’t get to do it as much as I’d like to.
Christine Stratton July 7th, 2010 at 10:55 am - #3337
I would have to agree with not enough. I’ve managed to get one weekend away each year for the last 2. However I’m not sure that is going to happen this year. And then usually I get a 12 hour day once every other month. Then I tr to squeeze time in here and there when I can. Definitely not enough.
Cristine R. July 7th, 2010 at 10:55 am - #3338
How often do I get to scrapbook? Lately it’s been about a couple times a month. After taking 12 straight nights to make an album for a friend of mine that just had baby, I took a little time off due to burn out. But now I’m back and I’m LOVING being “challenged!”
Jennifer Hansen July 7th, 2010 at 10:56 am - #3339
I can scrapbook just about anytime, but I have been remodeling the new house, so I am usually a little burnt out. I am going to try and get a few layouts done this week, though.
Monica July 7th, 2010 at 10:57 am - #3342
I don’t get to scrapbook much at all! My daughter is 3mos old, and we have been packing and moving for the past 5 mos! Most of my stuff is in storage at the moment
But once we’re in our new house, I get a room to myself! (well… sort of! I have to share with the storage area)
Abbey July 7th, 2010 at 10:58 am - #3343
Pretty rarely. Never enough time or space to get everything out! Plus with everything digital I have to plan in advance to get the pictures I want for a book printed up!
Aubrey July 7th, 2010 at 10:59 am - #3344
I like them! I only get to scrap every 2-3 months, we have a small apartment and I have a hard time finding the time/place to do it without my 13 month old ‘helping’ me.
Pam Hellewell July 7th, 2010 at 10:59 am - #3345
I am lucky…I am an empty nester and only work 2 days a week. I scrapbook at least 3 times a week…sometimes more.
I have a whole room of toys and paper..Love it
Pam
jamie s. July 7th, 2010 at 11:00 am - #3346
like the others not as often as i would like.. i do try to get to a crop or have friends come over every other month… and if i am lucky… sometimes i even get a whole weekend in!!
Melanie Henderson July 7th, 2010 at 11:00 am - #3347
I love the walk in the park paper! I wish I had more time to scrapbook. I have a 3m and 21m old who keep me pretty darn busy. I am hopeful that once my youngest gets into more of a routine I can scrap at night when they are both in bed. I have a huge collection of wonderful supplies (mostly from Scrapbook Steals!) that I can’t wait to put to use.
Joy D-R July 7th, 2010 at 11:01 am - #3348
How often to I get to scrapbook? I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. That makes 6 years worth of events that have yet to be completed. So looks like I am 6 years behind schedule on my scrapbooking. Looking forward to getting it done someday.
Erin S July 7th, 2010 at 11:01 am - #3349
I can hardly find time to scrapbook anymore. And, with 4 kids, I’m falling so far behind that I’m getting overwhelmed. That’s ok though. I figure I’ll have a lot of time to scrapbook once my kids are older. And, at that point it’ll be more fun to look back at all the old pictures
Summer July 7th, 2010 at 11:01 am - #3350
I try to sit down and scrap at least a few pages every week. With two little kids this is quite difficult however I am sooooo behind on my kids albums that I really need to work hard to get caught up or close to caught up!!
Jessica July 7th, 2010 at 11:02 am - #3351
Lately, I’ve been getting my scrapbook fix in. A few friends of mine have been coming over for scrapbooking nights (we’re having 2 this week!) and I’m slowly but surely getting caught up! (Actually, I’m working on a gift for my Moms birthday right now which I’m super excited for).
Jennifer Cross July 7th, 2010 at 11:04 am - #3353
I scrapbook less often than I make cards. I can usually sneak away to make a card or two once a week. Scrap-booking happens less often mainly because there’s more work involved. I haven’t been able to get anything done since my second daughter was born 10 months ago
Jo-Ann July 7th, 2010 at 11:04 am - #3354
I try to do something on a weeky basis ….. cards, altering or 2 page layouts! there was a time when i scrapped something every day but nothing else got done so I went through “scrap-withdrawels” and toned it down a bit!
Sarah July 7th, 2010 at 11:05 am - #3355
I try to scrapbook at least once a month for a 5 or 6 hour stint. I seem to get to it more often in the cold winter months. I haven’t had time this summer!
Loving this new line from madison parker!
LisaM July 7th, 2010 at 11:06 am - #3357
Maybe twice a week if I’m lucky. Lately it’s only been when someone needs a birthday card. I really want to do a Baby Book for my sister in law who is due around the end of July but I need to find some good 8×8 layouts…time to go searching!
Christy C July 7th, 2010 at 11:07 am - #3358
Not enough…seems like I spend most of my time running to my three kid’s (10, 8, almost 2)activities taking lots of pictures. Once I do get to sit down I have lots of photos to choose from. I scrap with some ladies at a local church hall twice a month (when I can make it out) so that gives me some uninterupted scrapping time to get a layout or 2 done.
Alysha Herrera July 7th, 2010 at 11:07 am - #3359
Definitely not often enough!! Most of my stuff is packed away in storage since we are mid move.. I HATE it!! I cannot wait to unpack it all and discover what supplies I even own!
StephanieU July 7th, 2010 at 11:08 am - #3360
I only get to truly scrapbook a few times a year – when our church has a ladies craft night. I do little projects (cards, framed pages) when ever I want/need to though.
sandyh50 July 7th, 2010 at 11:08 am - #3361
I love that Walk in the Park paper, I “liked” them and left a comment. I scrapbook 2-3 times a week in the summer time and then just on weekends during the school year. This Birthday Bash celebration is fun!
Cinda Nordin July 7th, 2010 at 11:09 am - #3362
Unfortunately, I’ve only been able to scrapbook about once every 3 months lately. I did take an awesome class last night and put a picture on canvas. Thanks for the opportunity to win!!!
Karen Weingartner July 7th, 2010 at 11:09 am - #3363
I am in my craft room almost daily now. I teach, so summer is my time to really get in here. I mostly make cards…
LuAnn Brislin July 7th, 2010 at 11:11 am - #3365
I love taking pictures, and just as much making something of them! I usually dont have a lot of time to sit down and actually make the pages, but I try to at least once a week! I pick a day and when the kids go to bed, I make as many pages as I can! My 2 year old, already has 5 full books, so I really need to get busy for my 5 month old
Lindsay July 7th, 2010 at 11:11 am - #3366
I try to scrapbook during naptime at our house on certain days of the week (when I’m not about to drown in laundry or dishes). It’s generally just a really short amount of time, and I end up stopping mid-thought. It takes me awhile to complete a project that way! But, it’s a nice way to get a little “me time.”
Melissa Ashby July 7th, 2010 at 11:12 am - #3367
I do not find much bulk time to scrapbook having a busy household with 4 children, but I do find little bits of time here and there. I love that there is so many designs to work with now adays and so many GREAT tools
Happy Birthday!
Jennifer Feldkamp July 7th, 2010 at 11:12 am - #3368
Wow! SO not enough! I used to SB at least once a month. Then about a year ago, I had a baby and moved to a new state a couple of months later. All my crafty stuff has been packed up ever since. I keep hoping for some time/space to get it all out again. Would love to win this for some inspiration!
Tessa Buys July 7th, 2010 at 11:13 am - #3370
I LOVE Echo Park! I just got some a few days ago and cannot wait to scrap with them! I try to do a lot of challenges, so I scrap at least a few layouts a week. It keeps me sane
.
Aileen July 7th, 2010 at 11:15 am - #3372
How often??? Hardly! I really need to organize my room before I can do anything first!
Lori P. July 7th, 2010 at 11:15 am - #3373
definitely not enough. I always try to arrange my mother in law to come and look after my daughter so that my sister in law and I can have a play date
it doesn’t happen very often, but we ALWAYS look forward to it!
Heather July 7th, 2010 at 11:17 am - #3375
I don’t scrap as much as I’d like, but do get to something weekly. I do alot of cards, and I’m working toward more scrapbooking. I love the Project 12 over at Scrapbook & Cards Today… it forces me to make SURE I do a double layout a month so I have a year in review.
Loren July 7th, 2010 at 11:20 am - #3376
I would LOVE to scrapbook everyday!!! Sadly, my scraproom is a little neglected. I probably only scrap once a month if I’m lucky.
Kara Anderson July 7th, 2010 at 11:22 am - #3377
When my LO goes to sleep…if I feel creative and not exhausted!
I’m so behind it’s not even funny. Some day I’ll catch up!
Marcella July 7th, 2010 at 11:22 am - #3378
Not enough….haven’t been able to scrapbook for a few months but I’m going to start again soon.
Jenni Olson July 7th, 2010 at 11:27 am - #3381
I agree! Not often enough!! Even though I teach and it’s summer, I can’t seem to find any down time to craft! We are go-go-go!!!
Stephanie July 7th, 2010 at 11:28 am - #3382
Cute paper!
I scrap at least once a week, though I’m working on some kind of project almost every day. Even if it’s just a few minutes, I love working on something that’s not just cleaning/cooking/mommying…though I love all those things too!
Michele July 7th, 2010 at 11:29 am - #3383
I’m lucky enough to have my own space that has nothing but my scrappy stuff, but whenever I go in there to get something done, either my 6 year old or 8 year old want to come and do something too. While I enjoy the time with the kiddo’s, I am not very productive when they are there. **SIGH***
Andrea July 7th, 2010 at 11:30 am - #3384
I am new to scrapbooking, but try to a couple nights a week after my baby goes to bed. Most of the time I stare at everything trying to decide where to begin. I have a good friend that is awesome at scrapbooking and we are trying to get together one night a week to scrap. It is so much to do it with a friend!
Marisa T July 7th, 2010 at 11:32 am - #3385
I have yet to make my first page but I plan on scrapping at least three times a week. It may only be a few hours a night but its a start.
Jen B July 7th, 2010 at 11:35 am - #3386
Almost never! But I want to – I see it as a creative outlet that I could actually master and enjoy, as I don’t think I have much true artistic talent. I love unique and fun greeting cards, a small thing that can be individualized for many people, a small token of love and appreciation of them as individuals.
Some day…perhaps when I don’t have 3 preschool-aged kids at home with me all day!
Cyndee July 7th, 2010 at 11:36 am - #3387
I have been dying to get my hands on any of the Echo Park lines – love it!
I definitely don’t get to scrap often enough… I’m lucky if I can squeeze a night or two (after kids are in bed) in every month. I love all the challenges though, because that gets me motivated to scrap! (but then I stay up too late… Scrap or sleep?)
Lisa July 7th, 2010 at 11:38 am - #3388
Not nearly enough! I get to do it at least once a month at my LSS, but at home I have ti find time in between wrangling a 1 year old!
Kim July 7th, 2010 at 11:39 am - #3389
I am going with not enough as well. I’m fairly new to scrapbooking but I love it! I started my son’s book this past fall and its coming along slowly but I’m getting there. My son is 2 now, so I’m not too far behind. My husband works every other weekend, so this past weekend I got my stuff out after my son went to bed and I actually got alot done! I’m going to keep it up and I will be caught up in no time!
liz R July 7th, 2010 at 11:40 am - #3390
I unfortunately am in the same boat as most of you that have posted…don’t get to scrap enough. With two under the age of 4,they keep you busy and any down time that I do have during the school year is gone to planning. With summer holidays upon us, maybe I’ll be able to get some much needed work done on my boys books. It will be nice to use the papers that I’ve bought from SS. I was just looking at the Echo Park Paper yesterday…WONDERFUL!!
Jenn July 7th, 2010 at 11:42 am - #3391
I am finding it busy these days with it being summer, and then I’ll be back to work in the fall, but hopefully by then, I can be a little more organized and find some more time. We try to have a scrap night with my many scrapbooking friends at least 4 times a year, which sometimes turns into a whole weekend full of fun!
Joanne Pineda July 7th, 2010 at 11:48 am - #3392
Definately not as often as I’d like. I don’t really have a space yet and I feel somewhat intimidated. I know I shouldn’t but I see all these beautiful projects on blogs and I’m like, man I wish. I’m looking forward to more Echo Park paper, its so bright and beautiful.
conniemelancon July 7th, 2010 at 11:53 am - #3393
Not as much as I would like. I do have a scrap retreat next weekend! I really need a weekend to my self and what better way to spend it.
natalie July 7th, 2010 at 12:06 pm - #3396
i get to scrapbook pretty much whenever i want. but theres a catch, i usually have to do it after dinner so i have the table, and unless i want to be interrupted every time Tanner wants attention, i have to wait until he goes to bed.
Amanda W July 7th, 2010 at 12:13 pm - #3397
I would have to say I am VERY far behind on my scrapping. I did good when I had just one child, but with 2, I can’t stay caught up. I need to get my stuff out soon and get busy.
Melissa D. July 7th, 2010 at 12:20 pm - #3399
I find I scrap the most when I have been issued a challenge from you ladies
! When I have reason to scrapbook, like for a vacation or special event, rather than just catching up, I do it more often. My *goal* is once a week…rarely happens but I like to try!
Rachael July 7th, 2010 at 12:24 pm - #3401
I’m a teacher on summer break right now which is when most of my scrapping takes place. I scrap around winter break, spring break, and summer. I never seem to find the time during the school year. My goal is to be caught up at the end of summer – I’m currently about a year behind.
Nicole H July 7th, 2010 at 12:28 pm - #3403
Not often at all! 2 young kids, working fulltime leaves very little time. I try to get in a couple of hours every few weeks. It helps that I am getting the 5 yo into it so she and I can have quality time together.
Francesca K. July 7th, 2010 at 12:33 pm - #3404
Not as often as I would like, but I get it done. I scrapbook at least a few times a month. When I do get the chance I really try to get a LOT done. Digital scrapbook quite a bit now too and that really helps me get my books done.
Shelley W. July 7th, 2010 at 12:34 pm - #3405
I get to scrapbook about once a week with my friends at our weekly craft night! I am blessed!
Kathy July 7th, 2010 at 12:35 pm - #3406
Like most, not often as I’d like. But I do make time a couple times a week. I’m also starting to attend a scrapping group. I’m really loving the Echo Park papers. Thanks for another give away!
Jen Wilkinson July 7th, 2010 at 12:36 pm - #3407
I scrapbook in spurts. I will spend a month where all I do is scrapbook and then not do anything for months. It is causing some huge lags in my album. I currently working on scrapbooking 2006. I hate being so far behind, but it is sort of cool because I really enjoy reliving the memories!
Brenda July 7th, 2010 at 12:39 pm - #3409
NOT OFTEN ENOUGH!! I was trying to think about when the last time I SERIOUSLY scrapbooked was…when my daughter got married 1 1/2 years ago. I put pics together and jot down ideas, and take lots of pics, but don’t get to sit down and scrap much. MY GOAL: once a week.
Kelsie July 7th, 2010 at 12:43 pm - #3411
I feel like a parrot….NOT ENOUGH! Mr. Baby is 6 months old today, and the last layout I did was of some of the things I did to occupy my time while waiting for him to arrive! I have an ITCH now, and I’m hoping to get a little bit done a couple times a week when we get home from holidays here…having Daddy on summer vacation from school should help
Samantha T. July 7th, 2010 at 12:43 pm - #3412
I’m blessed to be able to scrap almost daily!
Jasmine Ford July 7th, 2010 at 12:56 pm - #3416
I scrap at least once a week, which is pretty good for me since I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old at home. When my oldest still took naps I was able to get a lot more done, because naptime=scraptime for Mommy!! I haven’t worked on pages for an album in a long time, but I’ve been able to get lots of little projects and altered art projects done. I think any true scrapbooker can say that they never have enough time to do what they love!!
Carla Gull July 7th, 2010 at 12:57 pm - #3417
I’ve been trying hard to get enough things done so I get a good chunk of time (5 hours or so) on a Friday or Saturday night to work on projects. Beautiful paper!
Lisa July 7th, 2010 at 1:02 pm - #3418
Sigh, definitely not enough time, that’s for sure! I try to find the time, whenever possible, but it is terribly hard. I find it useful to tuck in my 3 babies (2 children and one husband, lol) into bed on a weekend night and get my creativity started
Mandie W July 7th, 2010 at 1:07 pm - #3419
I wish I had more time to scrapbook. The kids nap time is usually the best time
Hoping to do it today! I actually have the latest Echo Park line waiting for me on my scraptable!!! Can’t wait to cut into those gorgeous papers…
Heather July 7th, 2010 at 1:12 pm - #3420
I am lucky that I can usually get in my craft room every afternoon during the week. But I still say it is not often enough because I am so behind. I don’t know if there is ever catching up! I love the new Echo Park papers! Can’t wait to try out todays sketch!
Sarah Babin July 7th, 2010 at 1:14 pm - #3421
Not often enough! I have a 9 yr old, 6 yr old, and 19 month old. I get some pages done at crops but don’t get to do those all that much. I am way far behind but I’m okay with that!
heather July 7th, 2010 at 1:30 pm - #3424
first – love the new stuff! i sadly don’t get to scrapbook as much as i would like. since i don’t have a “craft” room i always have to take up and down my stuff which is a lot of work itself. i try to go to different crops or set goals so i don’t get too far behind!
Liz Martinez July 7th, 2010 at 1:32 pm - #3425
Not often enough. I have a scrapin’ area in my room. I start a layout and keep coming back to it between work and kids. I love this part about not having to clean up and just being able to come back to it.
Jen July 7th, 2010 at 1:37 pm - #3426
I took a long break from scrapbooking, but once my son was born (and I found SS), I’ve been scrapbooking any chance I get – usually during naptime!
Jennifer Abbott-Scott July 7th, 2010 at 1:42 pm - #3427
Well I’ll go with “not often enough” as well since I would happily sit and craft all day every day! I’m a total newbie so I have TONS of photos in Picasa that I have to go through, sort, edit etc. which is SO boring! I wish I just had a big stack to pull from whenever the inspiration hit me! But I am trying to do one challenge per week (or more) to keep myself going and use my goodies!
Kitty Wilkin July 7th, 2010 at 1:49 pm - #3428
I don’t get to scrap nearly enough (it sounds like that’s the case with almost everyone!)… I have a 6 1/2 month old and we just moved!! But I am hoping that once we get settled into the new place (which is temporary)… I will have more time! Maddie (daughter) is finally taking regular naps, so once I’ve got the space and the supplies unpacked, I hope to get a page done per nap (at least!)…. Woo hoo! I would LOVE to win some of this stuff!
Geraldine July 7th, 2010 at 1:56 pm - #3429
Defintely not enough! Kids, hubby and housework always get in the way! Hahaha!
Amandra July 7th, 2010 at 2:06 pm - #3430
I have a table set up and everything, but I actually sit down and scrapbook maybe once every 2-3 months. I have a 4 mo and really need to start his book.
Heather July 7th, 2010 at 2:09 pm - #3431
I guess I am part of the majority that says NOT OFTEN ENOUGH. With an 11 month old and returning to work my day’s are kept pretty busy. But I try to get at it at least once every couple of weeks. And I make all my cards so whenever an occasion comes up I get to sneak in a bit of time that way.
Lisa Guggenheim July 7th, 2010 at 2:13 pm - #3432
Unfortunately, not as often as I would like. It is so hard with 2 young kids. My almost 4 year old son has a beautiful scrapbook that I worked so hard on and completely right after his first birthday. My poor little girl will be 2 next month and I have everything together that needs to go into the scrapbook, but nothing has happened yet. I need to finish it before her birthday!!
Andrea Johnson July 7th, 2010 at 2:18 pm - #3433
This summer I had some special albums (vacation, graduation, etc.) and then my “regular” scrapping to catch up on. I’ve been trying to scrap every day, at least during the week and have made it 3-4 times a week so far! Yippee. During the school year, not so much.
Julie July 7th, 2010 at 2:30 pm - #3435
If I really work at making time for it I will scrapbook 3 times a week. If I let the life that I want to scrapbook about get in the way then it really more like once a month!
MInousha July 7th, 2010 at 2:35 pm - #3437
I try to scrap 4-5 times a week, when we are on a normal routine. Right now we have company visiting, and I have not been able to scrap in over a week and a half!!!! I ready for them to leave!!!!
Melissa Harris July 7th, 2010 at 2:45 pm - #3438
Not as often as I would like ,mom to a 12m old,8yr & 10yr old . I have more time in the fall
HeatherC July 7th, 2010 at 2:54 pm - #3439
Once every other week if I’m lucky during the school year… Maybe once or twice a week during the summer.
Unless it’s Christmas time, and then there are endless hours spent making presents, layouts, calendars, books, etc.
Victoria Kane July 7th, 2010 at 3:09 pm - #3440
I agree- not enough! I try to scrapbook at least once a month, but now that I have a baby, it’s a lot more difficult to find the time. Some nights I’ll do a page after I put my daughter to sleep, or some nights, I might just do a little each night and take a few nights to complete one page. I love all day crops though, and have a few lined up for the fall, so that should help me get up to date!
Katie M July 7th, 2010 at 3:11 pm - #3441
Not as often as I would like to. Usually a group of us plan a weekend crop twice a year and that gives me completely uninterrupted scrap booking time which is pure heaven!
Holly Ford July 7th, 2010 at 3:17 pm - #3442
I never have time to scrapbook anymore (not that it stops me from buying supplies!). With two boys under three, 30 hours of school, 20 hours of homework, 15 hours of commute, and supporting my husbands hobby of D&D three times a week I hardly have time to sleep!
Erin S July 7th, 2010 at 3:36 pm - #3443
I try to get in an hour or two a couple nights a month, I would love to have more time to scrapbook!
Karisse July 7th, 2010 at 3:36 pm - #3444
I can echo the “not enough”…I rarely get to sit down and be creative with scrapbooking and have resorted to using layout patterns to complete pages quickly when I do get time. I always feel so great when I do tho!
Chloe S. July 7th, 2010 at 3:44 pm - #3445
Definitely not enough! I scrap during my DDs naps and after she goes to bed at night. I wish I had more time for scrapping!!
DENISE July 7th, 2010 at 3:45 pm - #3446
LOVE Echo Park! Their Paper is soooooo gorgeous!!! I try to scrapbook just about every day during my daughter’s nap!
Staci Jones July 7th, 2010 at 4:41 pm - #3448
Such cute stuff. I usually only get to scrapbook when you guys have your fabulous challenges. 3 kids 4 and under keeps me plenty busy, but I sure do love every chance I get.
Wendy Konoza July 7th, 2010 at 4:46 pm - #3449
Not as often as I’d like to that’s forsure. I try to get together with my scrappin’ crew at least once a month at our favorite crop spot. Otherwise, I sit down at my table in my living room as often as I can. I vote for a lengthening of the days dedicated to scrap time.
Thienly Azim July 7th, 2010 at 4:51 pm - #3450
NOT ENOUGH! I get around to it after I put kids to sleep, wash dishes, do laundry, get ready for next day… well, if I’m not tired by that time, then I get to start around 10pm! Scrapbooking is more important thatn sleep for me
Suzanne July 7th, 2010 at 5:56 pm - #3452
I have to say, not enough… and I’m fare behind… since my kids are 19 & 15… Lots of work ahead… but I love it, and sure hope to get more time this summer to do some, since I’m off work… I just need to get a corner in the house to get install and get to it everytime I have a few hours free!!!
Eva July 7th, 2010 at 6:04 pm - #3453
My husband goes over to his familys for an evening of Dungeons and Dragons every other week. Those nights I put my (almost) 3 year old down for bed time at 9 and my girlfriend comes over and we scrap till the cows come home (or husbands)
If I didnt have that dedicated time I would never be caught up on my scrapbooking!
Wendy Crowe July 7th, 2010 at 6:12 pm - #3454
I LOVE the Life is Good line! So pretty! I work full-time and have 3 kids to take care of. So I make sure when I am done with everyone else that I get “me” time. . I have been lucky enough to make time every night…so for me, LIFE IS GOOD!!
carrie July 7th, 2010 at 7:05 pm - #3455
I try to get in a little bit everyday since it takes me like two weeks to complete one layout!
Michelle July 7th, 2010 at 7:16 pm - #3457
With digital … daily, even if it’s just typing in what funny things the kids have done that day! With traditional? I think I spend more time organizing than I do scrapping! Fortunately, my 3-year-old son LOVES to use the tools … so while my 9 month old naps, the older boy and I can “play”! I also know this AWESOME online company that hosts online scraps every so often!
Love you, SS!
Judy S. July 7th, 2010 at 7:35 pm - #3458
Almost everyday, after the kids are in bed. I scrapbook, card make, or do some sort of paper craft. Last night I made placements for my daughter’s tea party Saturday, the night before I stamped goody bags for the party. I don’t have a set aside space – but try to keep supplies organized and lots of photos printed off. I will often pull out 3-5 photos and kit and just one or two tools.
I love scrapbooking and recently realized it makes me really happy and helps me unwind from my day. Plus, once hubby is back in grad school this fall I have a feeling things will be to crazy!
Michele Kirkpatrick July 7th, 2010 at 7:43 pm - #3459
I wish I could scrapbook everyday, but the answer is more like 2 hrs every week, sometimes a little more. I’ve “liked” Echo Park on facebook. I love their collections!
Joy July 7th, 2010 at 7:44 pm - #3460
Not nearly enough! Hopefully after my daughter turns 1 and stops nursing I’ll have a little more time to scrapbook!
Trudie Lloyd July 7th, 2010 at 8:06 pm - #3464
I am lucky because my kids are raised and my hubby supports my scrapping habit. During the cooler months I scrap with friends every Friday night. Now that it is warmer we usually only make it every other Friday.
Carol (ScrapMomOf2) July 7th, 2010 at 8:22 pm - #3467
Not enough!! And the summertime is even more difficult, because there is so much going on all the time!! What a great sketch!! I hope I get time to play!!
Teresa Martin July 7th, 2010 at 8:31 pm - #3471
My first thought as an answer was not often enough, with 2 littles under 3, it is hard to fit in it but on the plus side they give me so many opportunites for cute pages. So many pictures so little time! LOL
Kristy MacKeen July 7th, 2010 at 8:35 pm - #3473
I’m with Kristy – not often enough! I am hoping to find more time when my oldest “helper” goes back to school.
Christine S July 7th, 2010 at 8:52 pm - #3474
About once a month, if I’m lucky! I have a 10 month old & a full time job so I have to really work hard to scrapbook! I *love* the Echo park papers, so cute!!
Vanessa M July 7th, 2010 at 9:02 pm - #3475
I rarely get time to get on the computer let alone scrap book…. lets just say I have an entire mind full of sketches right now!! I wish I had more time, but my two little girls are so worth every moment I spend with them!!
Laraine July 7th, 2010 at 9:25 pm - #3476
I keep saying that I’m going to start scrapping again soon. My 4th grandchild was born in May, and I’m scrapping all four of them. I am caught up on printing pics and LOVE to collect scrapbook “stuff.” BUT…I am going to really get going on it soon.
Kim July 7th, 2010 at 9:27 pm - #3477
I haven’t scrapbooked much lately…. though I made some thank you cards this weekend for a baby shower we were given last week! BUT…. as of Saturday I’m on “maternity leave”…. so I’m planning on catching up on my scrapbooking then! Can’t wait!
Robin Culver July 7th, 2010 at 9:40 pm - #3478
Not Enough. My 15 month old son only has 4 pages in his baby album…
Adrea Hill July 7th, 2010 at 9:42 pm - #3479
I’ve been making a lot of cards, so scrapbooking has been put to the side. However, I’m reall close to making my goal of scrapping my wedding before my 2 year anniversary.
Michelle July 7th, 2010 at 9:43 pm - #3480
Can I also say how much I love working off of your sketches? LOVE it!
Jana Paddington July 7th, 2010 at 9:44 pm - #3481
I’m seeing a pretty common answer to this blog question! My answer is no different…NOT OFTEN ENOUGH!!!
I wish I could scrap every day, but with a two month old and a sixteen month old…trying to find enough time is tough! I would say about once a month. Once I’m able to get both kiddies into some semblance of a routine (particularly overlapping naps…lol), I’m hoping to get more done! I miss it!!!
Angela L. July 7th, 2010 at 9:51 pm - #3482
Great question! I’d say that if I didn’t spend SO much time on the computer, that I would have lots of time to scrap…. I must learn time management. I LOVE Echo Park and I’d be thrilled beyond words to win one of these sweet prizes!
Melanie July 7th, 2010 at 11:02 pm - #3483
I actually set up a monthly scrap night at my house… so at least one night a month.. but I also try to do a couple of hours here and there. I am still trying to complete my daughter’s first year book (she will be turning four in a month!).
Renee Owens July 7th, 2010 at 11:23 pm - #3484
I just started making my own cards from all the kits I am buying from you guys
We have had 2 babies in 2 years so the scrapbooking will resume in about a year!! I’m just happy to not be paying for greeting cards anymore!!
Corey Martin July 8th, 2010 at 12:19 am - #3486
Far less than I need to! My hope is that I can get a dedicated space and work for an hour a day every day!
Amber July 8th, 2010 at 12:52 am - #3487
Not enough – does supervising kid crafts count?
joy July 8th, 2010 at 1:02 am - #3488
i used to scrap a lot more often but stopped when i had my little girl 2 1/2 years ago. i started again when i discovered scrapbooksteals
LynetteC July 8th, 2010 at 2:18 am - #3490
Every little time I can find. Mostly after the kids are asleep. That’s how I ended up with more supplies than I scrap, lol.
Scrapbooking Albums July 8th, 2010 at 4:05 am - #3492
You made my purchase easy and the delivery was received three days later. Scrapbooking Albums
Marie Phillips July 8th, 2010 at 6:05 am - #3493
Daily, when my medical ondition will allow it! It is so therapeutic!
cris July 8th, 2010 at 6:12 am - #3495
i only get to scrap about 3 days a week, i wish it was more!
Andrea Penny July 8th, 2010 at 6:42 am - #3498
I scrapbook at least once every week, and on the occasional week I might get it in twice. I wish it it was every night though!
Kerry Vossen July 8th, 2010 at 8:20 am - #3501
I am lucky, my kids (2 1/2 and almost 3 months) are pretty cooperative! I usually get about 10-15 minutes everyday when we are waiting for daddy to get home after work to do a bit of scrapbooking. I also have classes twice a month, which I look forward to as it gives me some adult time!!
Brittany July 8th, 2010 at 9:41 am - #3502
Other than card making, I haven’t scrapped in… probably 3 years! Sad, I know. I make time for putting together a card when an occasion calls for it.. so if that counts, maybe 10 times a year! I have three kids, babysit two others, and life is just super busy! I do wish I made more time to scrap. I have so much catching up to do!
Gail S. July 8th, 2010 at 9:57 am - #3503
I’m new to scrapbooking so I haven’t done it much…
Kristina July 8th, 2010 at 10:04 am - #3504
I rarely get to scrapbook, suppost to be starting up a new one with my mum soon though. Once she gets the money. It will be a gift for my dad, filled with photos from the past and as well photos from his birthday that just past.
Vicki Wood July 8th, 2010 at 10:20 am - #3505
I go once a month to the store but try to do it during my kid’s nap time as often as possible.
Audrey July 8th, 2010 at 10:26 am - #3506
I would love to scrapbook way more than I have the time to do, but with a fast crawling 10 month old and a new “business” just starting I just haven’t had the time. I do have TONS of scrapbook stuff just waiting to be used though, and here and there I get the time to do some and I love it!! I really need to get caught up on my daughter’s 1st year scrapbook though b/c I have 1 1/2 months until she’s 1!
Ginny Penn July 8th, 2010 at 10:27 am - #3507
I have a mandatory (for me) scrap night once a month. Other than that I try to steal a few moments here and there a few nights a week.
Brittany Armstrong July 8th, 2010 at 10:54 am - #3514
Not very often with 4 kids
nut I try to get something done whenever I can
Suzanne July 8th, 2010 at 11:21 am - #3529
I scrapbook when I can get a chance …. usually on a weekend day when my husband is home to watch the baby.
amber July 8th, 2010 at 11:36 am - #3534
Not very often since I had my new baby. I used to get together with the girls every other week.
Meladee July 8th, 2010 at 11:57 am - #3538
NOT ENOUGH! I am soooooo behind. Before I had kids I did it more often. Now I make time to do cards with my friend once every couple of months. Other than that I have made time for making wedding announcements and birthday cards and such, maybe every couple of weeks. I try to get my husband to watch the kids (two under two) so that i can go down in our basement in my craftng corner but since i still have a nursing baby that hardly ever works out.
DENISE July 8th, 2010 at 1:32 pm - #3552
What don’t I love about your site?! You have the newest scrapbooking products at the best prices around!! I got a fabulous deal this morning! (Well, okay three!) Keep it up!
Judie Lawrence July 8th, 2010 at 1:36 pm - #3558
Happy Birthday and no I don’t scrap as often as I would like to!
natalie July 8th, 2010 at 1:46 pm - #3572
posted my layout on FB
Erica July 8th, 2010 at 1:59 pm - #3589
Not nearly enough. I wish I had a dedicated craft space and could “steal” away here and there through out the day. I think I’d be a better wife and mother that way as I’d refuel in little snippets and it would keep me stress free and level headed.
Debi July 8th, 2010 at 2:25 pm - #3601
Not enough! I have a 9 month old but when I do get time to sit down and relax while working on my son’s scrapbook
I love it!!!
Carrie July 8th, 2010 at 2:48 pm - #3608
I do not get to scrap enough! Usually I can sneak to my craft room once or twice a week for an hour or two. I just wish there were more hours in the day!
Amber Sheaves July 8th, 2010 at 3:24 pm - #3618
Same answer as Melodee – not often enough! When I do get a chance to get in my craft room it’s to make a quick card or two. But now that you’ve been helping me build up my arsenal of supplies I have a far better chance of scrapping!
Michelle S July 8th, 2010 at 3:42 pm - #3626
I only get to scrapbook when I feel guilted into in because I’m so behind. First time mommy trying to figure out how to get time to myself is hard enough.
Tricia V July 8th, 2010 at 4:02 pm - #3633
Since my son was born last yr I had to move everything out of his room. Which leaves me with not much space to scrapbook. But looking at all the cool layouts you do for each product it has inspired me to get organized again and start cropping.
jennifer d July 8th, 2010 at 4:24 pm - #3639
sadly I do not scrap as often as I would like, certainly has not stopped me from buying more and more from SS. I can not wait till I can find the time to dig into my pile of goodies. My little guy is 7 monthes and I am hoping to start his baby book soon.
Carrie July 8th, 2010 at 4:47 pm - #3645
I’m with most of the folks who’ve posted here — I don’t get to scrapbook enough! I consider myself waaaaaay behind — I haven’t started my daughter’s first-year scrapbook and we just hosted her 2nd birthday party yesterday!!!
nerdgrl July 8th, 2010 at 4:48 pm - #3647
I try and SB at least two LONG days a month. By that I mean 10am-11pm, arriving at Archivers when they open and staying through Mania.
Heather July 8th, 2010 at 5:00 pm - #3651
Ok here is my LO for this challenge. I’ll post on the FB fan page as well.

Randi Wiggins July 8th, 2010 at 5:59 pm - #3659
It is hard to find time to scrapbook now that I have a little one. I try and do it every couple of weeks after he has gone to bed. I really want to keep up on it for his book so he has great pictures to look back on when he is older.
chana July 8th, 2010 at 6:48 pm - #3664
posted the challange on FB
sandra m. July 8th, 2010 at 7:27 pm - #3667
Echo Park has caught my eye although I havent purchased any yet. I scrap when ever I can, usually after the kids have gone to bed.
Katie Stouffer July 8th, 2010 at 10:25 pm - #3681
I’m new to scrapbooking and don’t really do it that often (yet!). I’m a little intimidated by the whole thing so it takes a lot of nerve for me to dive into my supplies.
Lara Hodges July 8th, 2010 at 11:30 pm - #3690
I try to scrapbook at least 2 – 3 times a week. My girlfriends & I host a “crop night” one to two times per month
Kyla July 9th, 2010 at 12:17 am - #3693
not nearly often enough
hehe!)
i did scrap for 9 hours on national scrapbooking day though..got one album completely done!! Yay for DH taking care of ALL 5 kids (I came home to feed our 4 month old 3 times
Lynda July 9th, 2010 at 12:42 am - #3699
I try and scrap at least a few hours each week…I’ve been making more cards lately because I can squeeze them in around the kids being home on summer break…
Happy Birthday!
Fawn M July 9th, 2010 at 7:37 am - #3706
I can’t do it as often as I want. . . I would say once a month.
Nikki July 9th, 2010 at 10:06 am - #3714
I *try* to scrap once a month but with an 18 month old that is a challenge! Plus summer is so busy for us as it is.
Rebecca Hale July 9th, 2010 at 10:09 am - #3717
I scrap once every gajillion years or so. But thanks to you, should a nuclear winter hit and there is nothing else to do but scrapbook, I will have enough supplies to years to come.
Leah July 9th, 2010 at 11:08 am - #3732
I will call in sick to work to stay home and scrap – send the kids off to school/daycare and GO AT IT! Unfortunately, I don’t do that very often – but about twice a year I’ll get some great marathon scrappin’ sessions in!
Chelsea Weekes July 9th, 2010 at 11:14 am - #3735
I don’t get to do it as often as I wish I could. Working, full time mommy and going to school, things get a bit crazy! I try at least after every Holiday!
Cyndy Guerr July 9th, 2010 at 11:40 am - #3741
Never enough time to scrap… I’m a teacher so mainly on holidays and summer break. I wish it was more often.
Courtney Newport July 9th, 2010 at 12:00 pm - #3747
Not nearly as often as I would like to. Whenever I do find the time I end up having a marathon day.
Erica R July 9th, 2010 at 12:28 pm - #3752
I try to scrap a little every day while my son is playing in his toy room which is in the same area of the basement as my scrapbook area. It’s working out well. Sometimes he will come over and want to help me so we make little things for daddy.
Jenn Richardson July 9th, 2010 at 12:30 pm - #3754
COWABUNGA Dude! I HEART Echo Park {{almost}} as much as I do ScrapbookSteals! In my mind I scrapbook every day but sadly I am lucky to squeeze in a couple hours a week to get creative. Happy Birthday
Beth W July 9th, 2010 at 1:12 pm - #3759
Isn’t Echo Park wonderful. Such happy, bright collections. Definitely not enough time- amazing how pets, children, and spouses have a totally different sense of priorities,
Jenny Johns July 9th, 2010 at 1:14 pm - #3760
Scrapbooking is tough for me, if I can’t get it done quickly…for that instant gratification! But, I can get a page done every week or so…wish it were more, but maybe these Echo Park papers can help me get there! Thanks for the chance and Happy Birthday!
Josee B July 9th, 2010 at 1:26 pm - #3761
I’m fairly new at scrapbooking… I have been steeling a few things on scrapbooksteal but still don’t have much.. I would definately do more if I could.. I’m an addict already… lol
Kelly Sas July 9th, 2010 at 2:09 pm - #3766
I try to do my paper crafting a couple of times a week. I also sew and quilt so I am always trying to fit in different projects in my “free” time!
Jean Marmo July 9th, 2010 at 2:19 pm - #3767
Since my kids are at college, we are empty nesters. I can scrap pretty much anytime. I will start before work and finish up after. The only draw back is that I am running out of current photos to use and am having to dig out old ones.
Trish Morgan July 9th, 2010 at 2:49 pm - #3769
I almost never get to scrapbook. I got married 3 years ago and in that time have had 2 children but they are finnally getting to a point where i can see lots of scrapbooking in my future
Kendra K July 9th, 2010 at 3:17 pm - #3771
I have a room dedicated to scrapping so I can scrapbook whenever the urge strikes! It’s getting harder with all this lovely weather!
Kristen P July 9th, 2010 at 3:27 pm - #3776
I don’t get to scrapbook enough, I am able to buy more products than I am to scrap. I’m hoping with in the next year to be able to scrap more often
Christina Swift July 9th, 2010 at 3:54 pm - #3779
I don’t get to scrapbook as often as I would like. I usually have to wait until the kids are in bed, otherwise my three year old is unraveling the ribbon and making off with my little bits of paper, he is especially fond of my glue runners – yikes! I would love a craft room with a lock on the door .
Ciera Mckenzie July 9th, 2010 at 4:24 pm - #3782
I wish I was able to scrapbook more often. Right now I don’t have any place to set up my scrapbooking stuff, so I have to drag it out of the closet everytime I want to scrapbook. Also having three kids, ages 3 and under doesn’t give me much time to scrapbook either.
TracyTracy July 9th, 2010 at 4:40 pm - #3784
Oooh, like that paper with the butterflies! OK, concentrate…. I can scrapbook in the evenings , if the kids don’t nap in the afternoon. But it would be nice to have more time. I also wish I remember to get photos printed more often.. Happy Birthday!
Jennifer Blomquist July 9th, 2010 at 5:05 pm - #3789
With a 6mo old and working part time from home, I don’t get to scrapbook very much. But I keep getting inspired here and hope to start doing it more!
Nichol July 9th, 2010 at 5:09 pm - #3793
When I lived in Cali and my son was little I would scrapbook almost everyother day. Now I have not scrapbooked in about 5 months. Life has been crazy BUT TODAY I AM SCRAPBOOKING ALL DAY!
Andrea July 9th, 2010 at 10:44 pm - #3799
As often as I can!
Kerri July 10th, 2010 at 7:15 am - #3805
I only get to scrap when my almost 1 yr old girl isn’t glued to my side, thank goodness for older siblings LOL
even a random card helps the mojo, cos i miss scrapbooking ! even though, once a week isn’t enough as much as i want.. LOL great prize & happy 3rd birthday from new zealand !! phew
Nicole H July 10th, 2010 at 11:09 am - #3808
I posted my entry for the sketch challenge on the FB site.
Ericka July 11th, 2010 at 9:07 pm - #3832
I tend to work really well right after a vacation or a special event, but then lose momentum… I spend more time making homemade cards than scrapping and that’s fine with me!
